Relics from a forgotten past
Fading lighthouses that were meant forever to last
Slowly swiveling upon a crumbling ledge
Blinking out in a futile attempt to define an edge
Choked by gluttonous gray-black storms
That destroy and consume all weakened forms
Swallowing all light and infecting with age
Seething as it fabricates a sterile cage
Watch as it continues to devour as I writhe
Trapped inside this bleeding monolith
