Walking down the street
On the way home
From a shopping spree
Spent out with the girls
Dark streets
Dark buildings
Strange noises
Line the streets-
Don't matter though
For she knows the streets
Like she knows her clothes.
Male voices come from the corner
Slurred in a drunken stupor
Fear creeps into her mind
For alcohol has bruised her life
One voice stands out of the rest
Familiar
The only one
That she loves and trusts anymore.
She walks up
Finding her boyfriend
Amongst his friends
Laughing and talking by their car
Parked on the side
Of the deserted street corner.
He goes up to her
Embracing her
And gives her a gentle kiss at first
Getting rougher
Tightening his grasp
Kissing harder, rougher
He puts his hands up her shirt
As she then pulls away
Telling him to stop
That she's worried about him
Not to worry
He tells her
As he grabs her arms
And shoves her
Into a situation no girl wants to be.
The door is closed
Watched buy his drunken friends
She screams for help
But his hands muffle them
He searches
And destroys
Every hope, every dream
That the girl ever had
Her soul is lost
To this vile drink
Too many years
Dealing with pain and hurt
Now physically
And emotionally destroyed
She gives up her soul
And her body
To the great lord above
For she no longer
Can deal with the effects
Of such a disastrous drink.
