The Power of Thoought

Once upon a time, there was a princess named Jen Resling. The princess was the only child of her parents and often felt lonely. So, in her spare time, she studied. By the time she was 17, Jen was one of the smartest princesses in the Kingdom of Wyncote.

Jen didn't want to be a princess anymore. Now that she had such a well- working brain, she decided to do something else. One day, in her Biology Class for Royal Children, she and her friend, the Duchess Annalise, found a mistake in their work. The paper said 'thoought' instead of 'thought.'

This event inspired both of them. Princess Jen decided to change her name to Jen Thoought and become the greatest scientific thinker the world has ever known. Duchess Annalise, on the other hand, corrected the teacher and was punished, permanently exiled in the small kingdom of Wyncote.

The newly named Jen Thoought found herself in a feudal society simply called Cedar Crest. She spent several years in this society, blending in and hiding her true identity. By the time she finally left the good people of Cedar Crest, Jen Thoought had uncovered every mystery of genetics, human and not-so-much-so.

Jen Thoought lived a happy successful life, eventually deciding to return to her kingdom. When she arrived in Wyncote, she saw many genetic anomalies that she had never noticed growing up. It seemed like all the residents had undergone genetic mutations, making them think their kingdom was superior to all others. Frustrated, Jen Thoought went to the castle.

Once she got to the drawbridge, Jen Thoought revealed that she was indeed the long lost princess. She was immediately let into the castle to speak to her parents, the King and Queen. There, she found her old friend, the Duchess Annalise, as a court jester.

'Princess Jen!' The Duchess-Jester cried. 'How good to see you!' Annalise explained that for many years, she'd had to entertain the king and queen by drawing acorns and shouting 'ozone!'

Princess Jen had had enough. She went to her father and demanded to know about the genetic mutations. He too, had fallen victim and believed Wyncote to be the largest, most wonderful kingdom in the whole world. Angry and sad, Princess Jen decided that there was only one thing left to do.

She took Duchess-Jester Annalise and together, they overthrew the kingdom of Wyncote, proclaiming it free from all genetic mutations and exposing it as quite small. The peasants were at first discouraged, but soon accepted Queen Jen Thoought as their ruler.

To this day, if a person has never heard of Wyncote, it is because of Queen Jen Thoought. Because of her, Wyncotians no longer tell everyone about their marvelous accomplishments. Now, Wyncotians accept the fact that they are, in a word, nothing. And they all lived happily, though not significantly ever after. The end!
