Together Again

Panic In The Military! It has been reported that many military bases and government buildings have been destroyed. The cause is unknown, only that missiles from these bases have been mysteriously launching. When investigation was done for the possibility of hackers, no evidence was discovered.

"I'm in the base!" said the soldier into his headset, "I'm gonna look for the man called 'brain'."

"Good work soldier" came the voice of the Sergeant "just be careful!"

"I'm always careful Sir!" said the soldier "Marcus out"

As the soldier entered farther into the base, soldiers began running towards him

"There's the intruder!" said a soldier "Shoot to kill!"

Marcus pulled out his M16, and plowed down all the soldiers. As he entered into a corridor, he began feeling a strange sensation. After walking about 20 feet, Marcus fell to his knees. He didn't know what was going on, but it felt like his brain was on fire. Marcus heard footsteps, he let out a groan into the headset.

"Marcus?..MARCUS, ARE YOU OKAY?" said the Sergeant. The footsteps stopped right in front of Marcus. Marcus looked up to see a figure, who's face was hidden by the shadows. With a swipe of his hand, Marcus hit the floor unconscious. The figure took the headset and placed it on his head.

"Marcus is no longer with us!" the figure said into the headset.

"What?...Where is He?" demanded the Sergeant

"He'll be with me!" said the figure "If you want him, you'll have to come and get him!" With that, the figure took off the headset and crushed it with his hand.

"Hello? HELLO?" yelled the Sergeant into the microphone at the military base. "Damn It!" said the Sergeant "He Fucking has Marcus!" The Sergeant stared at the CB for a moment, then adjusted the frequency. "I know the agreement" the Sergeant said to himself "But if he can hear this, hopefully he'll come to our aid. After all, he owes it to Marcus!"

The voice of a police officer could be heard coming from the speaker of a scanner, as a Hummer came into view.

"Ah!" laughed James "It's hilarious to listen to other people's misfortunes!"

"Oh Yeah James!" said Jabo "A real fucking laugh riot. Could you at least change the frequency, and listen to something different?" As James changed the frequency on the scanner, Jabo could hear the familiar voice of the Sergeant.

"Jabo?" came the voice of the Sergeant "If you can hear this, we need your help! I know our agreement, but if you don't want to do this for me, do it for Marcus! He's been captured by a mysterious dictator, we need you to save him, and if necessary kill the dictator! He is located in Mongroid...please help us!"

"Marcus...captured?" said Jabo with a shocked look

"Jabo?" asked Laura concerned "What's wrong?"

"Nothing!" said Jabo "We just have to get to Mongroid" Jabo slammed his foot on the gas, as the Hummer drove up the road towards Mongroid.

At a run down apartment in Niagara Falls, Carrie sat, stunned at what she had heard on her scanner.

"My God, Marcus!" Carrie said to herself. She opened a drawer and pulled out a photo which showed her,Jabo, and Marcus. She placed the photo in her pocket as she stood up, and picked up a case which held her sniper rifle. When Carrie got down to her car, she got in and began heading for Mongroid.

"Now what the fuck is this all about?" demanded James, as the Hummer stopped on the outskirts of Mongroid.

"James!" said Gordon "He doesn't have to tell us if he doesn't want to!"

"So what do we do now?" asked Laura, after an awkward silence

"Well," said Jabo "it'll be dark soon we better find someplace to stay!"

"Oooh!" James whispered to Gordon "Jabo wants to get some pussy!" Gordon proceeded to slap James on the back of the head.

"Shut up!" said Gordon

Jabo sat in silence in his hotel room, as Laura walked in.

"What's wrong?" asked Laura

"Nothing," said Jabo "It's just..."

"Just what?" asked Laura

"It's...Nothing!" said Jabo as he stared off into space

"Hey!" said Laura, as she put her thumb and forefinger on Jabos chin, and moved it so their faces met. "If you can't trust me, who can ya trust?" After a few minutes of looking into Lauras eyes, Jabo caved in.

"Well, I'll tell ya the truth" said Jabo "Marcus was a soldier in the war, but he was more then that, he was one of the few friends I had in the war. You see before I met Marcus, I was a bit of an asshole. My only friend had been Carrie, everyone else fucking hated my guts. It was in

normal combat, without the use of snipers that I met Marcus. We had a lot in common, and we were both good friends with Carrie."

"So it's because of your close friendship with Marcus that we're here?" asked Laura

"No!" said Jabo "There's more. While in combat, our platoon was told to split up. About ten to fifteen minutes after splitting up, I was ambushed! Fuckers were shooting at me from every which way. They ended up bringing me down with several shots, about seven of them encircled me. I could do nothing but listen as they loaded new magazines into their guns. I heard gunfire off in the distance, next thing I knew seven DEAD enemy soldiers encircling me. Out from the shadows came Marcus. He got me a medic, and at that point, I promised him that one day I'd return the favour!" Jabo walked over to the window, and looked out at the streets. Laura then stood up, walked over to Jabo, put her arm around his waist, and layed her head on his shoulder. As Jabo looked at the streets, he noticed a figure in the darkness looking up at him. After a minute or so, the figure got into a car and drove away. "What the fuck?" Jabo said to himself. He then averted his eyes from the window, and stared into Lauras eyes. As their eyes locked, they embraced.

That morning, it was decided that they would head for the base which hopefully held Marcus. As the group joined up outside the hotel, Jabo saw a figure in the alleyway. When Jabo took a few steps towards they alley, the figure ran away.

As the group came upon the base, they noticed that it was heavily guarded.

"How the fuck are we supposed to get in there?" asked James. Jabo then noticed an open gate, that went into the air ducts.

"Think I found a way!" said Jabo "Now I'm gonna go in there, and see if I can find Marcus. Do not come in, until you see my signal"

"What will the signal be?" asked Gordon

"Oh you'll know when it comes!" said Jabo with a smile on his face. Slowly Jabo made his way towards the opening to the air ducts. When he saw the coast was clear, he crawled inside. After some time of crawling inside the ducts, he stopped to overhear a conversation two soldiers were having.

"Did you hear about the plan?" asked one of the soldiers

"No!" said the other soldier "What plan?"

"Well," said the first soldier "You know about that upcoming peace summit, right? Well anyway, all the world leaders will be there. Well I overheard that our great leader 'Brain' has devised a plan. He will be dropping a nuclear bomb on the summit, killing all the leaders. With no leaders to run the countries, he will declare himself master of the world!"

"Wow!" said the second soldier "..well let's get back to our posts. If we don't, Brain'll be pissed!" When the soldiers went back to their posts, Jabo punched open the vent and crawled out of the air ducts. No sooner had he stood up, he was spotted by a soldier.

"Hey you..STOP!" yelled the soldier, as he loaded up his gun. Jabo pulled out a handgun, and was about to take a shot, when another shot was heard. The soldier fell down dead at Jabo's feet.

"What the..?" said Jabo as he looked up and saw a figure in the shadows. He held up his handgun "Ok motherfucker, show yourself or they'll be playing connect the dots with the holes in your chest."

"Shooting at a friend?" came a female voice from the shadows "never thought I'd see the day!" The figure slowly stepped out of the shadows, it was Carrie!

"Carrie?!" said Jabo as he lowered his handgun "Holy Shit! It's been awhile. What are you doing here?"

"Well," said Carrie "I heard the familiar voice of our former higher up, and decided to come up figuring one of us would be able to save Marcus."

"That's..." said Jabo as he was interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. A soldier came around the corner, saw Jabo and Carrie, ran and pulled the alarm. Outside James,Gordon, and Laura heard the alarm, and saw soldiers running inside the base.

"I think that's Jabos sign!" said Laura

"Let's Go!" said Gordon. Laura,Gordon, and James then proceeded to run towards the base, weapons in high ready.

After a quick run through the base, the rest of the group spotted Jabo and Carrie. Laura noticed a soldier ready to jump Jabo. She quickly lifted her handgun, took a shot, and shot the soldier right between the eyes. The soldier fell down dead. Meanwhile Gordon was pumping away at his shotgun, giving enemy soldiers big holes in there chests. A soldier crawling on the floor with a syringe full of cyanide, was about to stick it in Gordons leg. Gordon looked down, stepped on the guys hand, placed the barrel of the shotgun on top of the soldiers head, and pulled the trigger. There was a bang, and pieces of skull, and brain flew up into Gordons face. James was firing away at soldiers as quickly as he could. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a soldier covered in grenades.

"KAMIKAZE!" yelled the soldier, as all the grenade pins were simultaneously pulled out, and he ran towards James. Aiming his handgun down, James shot the soldier in the kneecaps. The soldier fell to the ground, just as the grenades went off. Pieces of the soldiers body were thrown all about by the blast. Amongst the chaos, Jabo managed to find an opportunity.

"I'm going to look for Marcus!" Jabo yelled to the group. As Jabo ran down a corridor, he was stopped by two soldiers. Jabo pulled out his Samurai sword, and with one swipe, cut off the heads of both of the soldiers. After some more running, entering doors, and killing soldiers. Jabo found the prison where they keep the P.O.W's. Jabo looked in each one of the small windows on the doors of the cells, until he found Marcus.

"Marcus!" yelled Jabo. Marcus looked up to see who was speaking to him

"Who...Who it that?" asked Marcus weakly

"It's me,Jabo!"

"Jabo?" said Marcus "Is it really you?"

"Sure is buddy!" said Jabo "Now let's get you out of here!" All of a sudden a soldier ran in, he had the keys in his hand.

"Give me the keys!" demanded Jabo

"You'll have to kill me to get them!" said the soldier

"Very well!" said Jabo, as he pulled out his Samurai sword, and cut off the soldiers hand. Jabo picked up the hand with the keys, as the soldier was on the ground holding on to his bloody stump.

"You'll pay for this!" said the soldier

"Yeah, Whatever!" said Jabo as he pulled out a handgun, and shot the soldier point-blank in the forehead. Jabo removed the keys from the dead soldiers hand, unlocked the cell, and placed Marcus's hand over his shoulder, as he helped him out of the prison. "Now let's get you out of

here!" said Jabo

"I don't think so!" said a disembodied voice

"What the fuck?" said Jabo, as the cell appeared to disappear, and what materialized appeared to be a throne room. Jabo looked to see a man sitting on a throne. The man looked military, with a crew cut, and a uniform similar to the other soldiers.

"Greetings" said the man. Jabo looked to notice that the man was speaking without using his lips. "Yes Jabo, I have mental abilities, now be prepared to enter mental hell!" Jabo pulled out his M16 and began firing at the man. With the wave of his hand, the bullets stopped at the feet of the man.

"Relying yourself to such weapons" said the man "tisk tisk." With another wave of his hand, Jabos M16 went flying across the room.

"Just who the fuck are you?" demanded Jabo

"I am called Brain" said the man "As you probably know, I was called this due to the reason that I have psychic abilities. I know you are aware of my plans to destroy all the worlds leaders. It is because of this, I cannot let you live." Jabo pulled out his handgun and began firing, Brain once again deflected the bullets. "I told you Jabo, the use of such weapons is pointless, a real soldier can find other methods to fight."

"Yeah I guess yer right" said Jabo, as he put away his handgun. "Guess it'll have to be up close combat!" Jabo quickly pulled out his Samurai sword and ran towards Brain. A sword materialized in Brains hand, Brain brought it up ready for combat. A sword battle ensued, with the clanging of swords echoing through the room.

The battle had been going on for some time, when the group busted down the door.

"Jabo!" yelled Laura

"Don't worry Laura" said Jabo while battling "got it all under control!"

Slowly covered in shadow, Carrie entered the throne room. As she watched the battle between Jabo and Brain, she set up her sniper rifle.

"HA GOT YA!" said Brain, as he knocked Jabos sword out of his hand, and placed the tip of his sword by Jabos throat. "No,I will not kill you this way!" said Brain, as he threw away his sword. "I will destroy you mentally!" Brain began staring at Jabo, his head shaking the tiniest

bit. Jabo yelled out it pain, it felt as though his head was going to explode. Just as Brain was about to strike the final blow, a shot was heard. Brain fell to the ground, blood seeped from his head to the floor.

"A Sniper!" said Gordon

"But Who?" asked James. Carrie came out of the shadows and walked over to put his arm around her shoulder, and they all exited the base.

Everyone was standing in front of the hotel.

"I have to thank both of you for rescuing me!" said Marcus to both Carrie and Jabo.

"It was no problem!" said Jabo "Now we're even!" Marcus smiled, and went over to talk to the rest of the group, leaving Carrie and Jabo to talk.

"Well," said Carrie "I guess this is when we go our separate ways!"

"Yeah I guess so!" said Jabo "It was great getting the opportunity to battle alongside you again. Hopefully if there's another major war, we'll all be fighting along side again." Jabo and Carrie both laughed, hugged, and gave each other a kiss on the cheek. Carrie walked over to her car, and Jabo walked over to the Hummer where the group and Marcus were sitting.

The Hummer stopped in front of the army base, and Marcus jumped out.

"Well, guess this is goodbye!" said Marcus

"Yeah, guess so!" said Jabo "Hopefully we'll all be fighting together if there's another war!"

"Well," said Marcus "guess we can only hope" Jabo and Marcus shook hands, and Marcus walked into the base. In the Sergeants office, he was excited to see Marcus alive.

"So he helped ya back, did he?" asked the Sergeant

"Yep!" said Marcus "him AND Carrie!"

"Carrie!?" said the Sergeant "Shit, it's been a long time since I've heard that name!" The sergeant paused for a moment "Well where ever they are I hope they know how thankful I am!"

"I'm sure they do,sir! I'm sure they do!" said Marcus

"So what the hell was that all about?" asked Laura

"What?" asked Jabo

"That kiss and hug you gave her!" demanded Laura

"We were old friends!" said Jabo

In the back seat, James and Gordon laughed as Laura and Jabos fighting continued. As they drove away, prepared for whatever would come their way next!
