Nature's Adoration

The sun told me the other day, how jealous it is of me,
Because our love has more light than it will ever see.
And the moon, it was jealous, too.
Because it is nowhere as beautiful as you.
The birds whispered in my ear, that they'd gladly give their flight,
For a man with more beauty than all stars on a cloudless night.
The fish said they'd give their freedom to be enslaved by you,
For their bondage was all for a love that is so true.
The cougar howled that it would give it's speed,
Because you are all it would ever need.
The giraffe yelled down to me that it would give it's height,
For someone like you - someone so right.
The lion roared that it would give it's pride,
Just to be standing by your side.
And the eagle screeched that it would give it's vision,
To be enlightened by your wisdom.
All these creatures would offer up their lives
To be able to metamorphasize
Into a human so they could be
Next to you for all eternity.
But as for, I would sacrifice,
My beloved passion to write.
And if you needed it to be so,
I'd give my life for yours to grow.
