Drive
I think I’ll go for a drive today,
Spin the wheel and fly away.
Feel the wind beat my hair into submission,
And the cold whip my cheeks red.
I’ll put my foot down
And watch the world fly by,
One vision blurs into the next.
Buzz better than anything - including sex.
I think I’ll go fly today,
Just take a ride away.
Hit the gas and miss the brake,
Who cares if there’s a red light?
I’ll always be wrong
But that won’t stop me.
Now in the morning light,
The streets are such a welcoming sight.
I think I’ll go and ride today,
Ignoring all the warnings in my way.
Who cares if there’s a red light in the road?
There’s a green one in my soul.
I’ll sit back calm
And watch as the speed builds up,
Someone tell me when it reaches the top;
Cause I fear even then I won’t stop.
I want to feel alive…
I think I’ll go for a drive.
