Bittersweet Sleep

Make a becoming face,
Play your spade,
It'll be worth the sweet sleep you'll reap and weep.

Give them a sultry grin,
The camera’s love your lusty sin,
They see your sweet sleep you reap and try to keep.

Taste the dust as you fade away,
Forgotten and empty with the new day,
It wasn’t worth the sweet sleep and now you weep
Alone.
