Beware the iron grip of love.

LOVE'S IRON GAUNTLET

What drives your very soul?
Desire for love, a fire never cold?
A burning dart to hit your heart,
Engulfing every willing part,
Until your veins pulsate with hottest flame,
Hotter than a furnace, not as tame,
A power over you it holds,
Your actions it inevitably moulds.

As long as love's within your heart,
Passion is your mastered art,
A medium to show your deepest tenet,
Your deepest love, a stately pennet,
To display for everyone to see,
The happiness that knows no fee,
Alchemy of Eros plants the seed,
A burning wound, a lover's need.

Be wary of the hidden tarts,
For they exploit vulnurable hearts,
And once they have you on their chain,
You will do anything to gain,
The faithless love in which you're caught,
Never earned and always bought,
A helpless wretch forever trapped,
In the gauntlet of a false lover apt.
