A/N:This poem is short & sweet (well a bit on the bitter side actually).

Summary:Like the china doll, who appears eternally poised and strong, all of us can and will be broken and left in desperation. This poem is sad because I was sad when I wrote it.

Dedication:I dedicate this poem to those who identify with the china doll; we are all this china doll at one time or another.

China Doll
Written by Ashley L. Gormley

China Doll
Broken
The light behind her eyes of glass
Eclipsed
The breath of her curled locks
Languid
The fire beneath each ceramic cheek
Frosted
The placidity of her plush pout
Shaken
The splendor of her veneered element
Vanquished
Wistful Child
Forlorn
