Depression

Drowning in my own river of despair
Escaping a life that's been so unfair
Wanting all the sadness to dissolve away
Thinking I can't last another dreadful day

Wishing all the emotional scars to disappear
Trying to chase away my eternal fear
Breaking away from the cruelty around me
Giving in to the urge to flee

Letting the tears fall down my face
Feeling a pain that I can't erase
Clinging to the though of something better
Hoping that this loneliness won't be forever
