Murder of the Twin

It seems to me like you speak only of the past,
of birthing pains and expired pills you might still have.
Sorry all you get for your labor is me,
the shame of your tribe and the poison of your blood.

Those daydreams you showed me are destroying from inside.
I hoped you'd see beyond my face, but just like the rest, you're blind.
As long as I don't cry for the romance I'll never have,
don't groan anymore over the day that I was born.

Go find those pills that once covered your pain.
As a final act of maternity, share one lethal kiss with me.
This time our agony will depart for good.
Mother and child, we're full of woes,
because you bore me a twin, and her name was Sorrow.

Let's flush this history from our blood.
Let's start anew in the world beneath the mud.

I'll follow you along your trail of tears
until we stand together at your open grave.
We'll lay together, bitter woman, rueful child,
until maggots cleanse me of my flesh
and reveal a skull like yours.

Then gift me with eternal love and live with me forever.
Fold your hand over mine as I bring us back from death
by plunging the dagger into Sorrow's chest.
When from between us my cruel twin fades,
I may finally feel your sweet embrace.
