Why
do you just stand there
like everyone else,
staring
pointing at me
as I sink into this pit?
You're afraid for me
like everyone else.
So why?
You can see me
reaching out,
hear me
crying out.
Why don't you reach back?
call back?
No one cares.
They think I'm gone,
that there's no hope.
They say I'm lost
and you don't believe in me either.
I know you see me
sinking
falling
but you think it's too late to care
and you've given up on me.
