Speedball

I stand in my position,
where I can placidly stay.
I wait for the ball to roll my way.
It never comes, I never move.
The game ends too soon.

I run the whole hour,
chasing the ball.
Through fatigue I give it my all.
I tackle and dribble and score my goal,
to fulfill the desire of my soul.
