What makes up a single word?

The meaning of letters all twisted and turned,

False definitions and truth that’s been spurned,

Or simply relying on anything heard?

What makes up a single name?

The way people look or the clothes that they wear,

The different likes and dislikes they may bear,

Or simply a title of pride or of shame?

What makes up a single face?

A mark or a blemish that’s left on the skin,

Two eyes that are frightened of places they’ve been,

Or tears that left scars without leaving a trace?

What makes up our only Earth?

Ignorant voices that always speak last,

People who judge by mistakes of the past,

And hoard first impressions for more than they're worth....
