This is a reposting from when I made a mistake of deleting the work:
Hey minna. This is a poem that will make you question some things I think. By doing that, it asks questions. Kinda turning the tables on my style I guess. That was a short period though, it was written in November of 2003 so it’s pretty old. Out of date maybe. Cant help it though. So all I can say is enjoy.
Why?
When I look at the sky
what do I see?
It could be real or just a daydream
We see what we want to, not what's there.
What one says is an illusion,
another says it’s a chair.
How do we know that majik isn’t real?
The scientists say its a hoax
Showing it with numbers and microscopes
but it just brings more questions
instead of science’s promise of answers.
Could it be that were not supposed to answer
the questions we bring about in our minds?
It just puzzles us even more.
I just want to know one simple thing
Why?
Some say it’s the ultimate question.
We never stop asking why things happen.
Why did they do this?
Why that way?
Why believe in such a thing?
Now I want to know what would happen
if everyone stopped asking ‘why?’
We could be happier.
Could even know more than ever.
Stop asking questions and just figure it out.
It could make it all easier, or just more difficult.
Now.
I know ‘why?’

Aya Shinomori
