A Dead Language
Everyone says
Latin is a dead language.
But it's not.
Latin is everywhere.
English is derived from Latin.
French is derived from Latin.
Spanish and Portuguese and Italian too.
As well as Romanian.
Everyday we speak Latin.
Most of the time
Without even realizing it.
Words like gymnasium,
Dominate,
Maternal,
Paternal,
Patriot,
Canine,
Duo,
All come from Latin.
So, Latin is not as dead as you may think.
Beware,
Latin is making a comeback!
