"Transparent Façade"

You say this and that
In hopes that they will accept you
You go here and there
But what does it really gain you?

You claim to be open
Transparent
Clear
And translucent
But I see something different

Behind these masks we wear
We are something special
Behind these masks we adorn
We only wish to be loved

But if we stopped for a moment
And put aside this foolish behavior
We could see that we are loved
For who we are
And we could drop these transparent façades.
