PROTECTION FROM MYSELF

There’s something that I need
Something you can give
Something more precious
Then anything this barren
World has to offer

I need love
My life source
A lonely burden
Strangles me
And I know I’ll die
Without you

I felt the blood
Seep through my skin
It covered me
Touched me
And I felt death calling

But you held out your hand
Took away all the pain
Sent the knife to hell
For hurting me
You protect me

I felt the tears roll down
As I slipped the needle in
Poison leaking
Through my bright blue veins
And I felt death calling me

But the needle disappeared
And you held me close
Kissed me softly
And sucked the poison
From my lips

And every night since
I’ve had you there beside me
In my dreams that is
Your head on my chest
And out arms intertwined

I’ve fallen so in love
With you it kills me
But at the same time is my breath
You protect me
My angelic spirit brother

You call the devils away
Take me in the light
Bathe me in love
And harbor me dreams
Ending the screams
