(Did I ever mention the implications rain makes me think of?  Well, this poem should show them more than my words could). The Rain Began To Fall

The sun used to shine so brightly,

There was always someone around to make me smile,

But suddenly I became alone in the world

And the sun disappeared for a while.

Then the clouds gathered above me,

And the air became rapidly cool,

When I looked up at my darkening sky,

I knew I had been taken for a fool.

And then the rain began to fall,

Soaking my hair and my face,

The skies had opened above me,

So rain could fall from grace.

It hits hard against my skin,

My heart hurts at the thought of the rain,

It is a symbol of all the pain I feel,

So will my life ever feel the sun again?
