Inner Strength

Motionless I sit here,
I watch you cry,
I can tell, you just want to die.

I ache, I know,
I've seen such pain,
But from it, I've had much to gain.

Rising above all the odds,
Caring not what others think,
I've brought myself and others from the brink.

Fight those who have betrayed you,
Fight them, but only in your mind,
Do it physically and you've become their kind.

I sit here in silence,
The minutes pass by,
It's okay to just sit and cry.

But once the tears are gone,
You must rise up from the ground,
Prove them all wrong without a sound.

The power you achieve is the greatest of all,
Inner strength will now fight for you,
It will be there in anything you do.

But for now, motionless I sit here,
Watching you let it all out and cry,
I keep silent, not even daring to sigh.
