Despair; that black endless
pit that we fall into
When the world becomes too much,
and our beings crumble;
crumble underneath the
watchful eye of accusers.
Your soul has been eaten.
With every jibe, and every
pointed finger; your soul
slowly fades away,
bit by bit, piece by piece.
Plead to the stars to get it back!
To get that old you,
Safley locked inside your shell,
chain it down with strength and pride;
Which has been devoured by your peers.
They now possess your soul.
And where are you?
What are you -
But an empty shell,
with eyes to see and
no heart to feel.
How can you ever be you again,
When you have been stolen,
and crushed and crumbled,
into tiny little fragments,
and scattered over the grounds and seas.
You can get you back,
Because it is you that has devoured
Your soul, with your pain and anger.
Unleash that pain, that chains you
down, and set yourself free, from the
jail where only
you hold the key.
Ask guidence from your special friend,
Who wraps their feathered wings around you,
And whispers strength in your ear,
Whispers you cannot hear.
We cannot judge ourselves,
by the judgements of others;
We can only tred forward,
through the jungle that is life.
Fumbling down that path,
like a child taking it's
first steps; looking at the
world through new eyes.
As when you see a white feather,
or a ray of sunshine creeping
past a darkened cloud -
When you smile for no
reason; and feel a light creep
through you, that carresses
your soul.
When you see light in the
blackest of places;
it is then that you have
found your hope -
A hand to guide you
from that darkened tunnel
That is your life...
It is then that you see the world,
Through the eyes of an Angel.
