Sin

A living nightmare
Consuming humanity
All around the world.

Nature

Powerful feelings
Under a waterfall
Watching in amazement.

Heaven

A slow beat of excitement – joy.
Increasing with each step-
Throw open the gates of God’s kingdom,
And step into paradise.

A planet, a world, a universe,
Filled with bright lights,
Bursting with godly praises and love,
This place, is called Heaven.

Me

I’m me
And not you.
I’m like a bee
Just buzzin’ around
No where to go
No place to hide.

But you’re like a tick
Small and slick
You’re everywhere at once
Without a care in the world
Insensitive and strong
Like a turtle in his shell.

I’m me
And not you.
I’m like a dog
In a group of cats
I stand out in a crowd,
Cause I’m me, that’s why.

Broken Heart

My heart was soft
And so full of life
It was warm and open
For everyone to see
The goodness shining in me.

My heart was happy
No reason to be snappy
Yet its beat
Not even a drum
Could meet.

Its beat would quicken
When he was near
Almost too much to bear
The longing to touch
To show my love…

But now it is broken
Cold and hurtin’
For a young man tore it
With out ever knowin’.

Homework

Homework
Its like a
Fifty pound bolt
Tied to your back.
Homework
It’s a nightmare
That’s come true.

It will sneak
Up on you
Surprise you, scare you
It will bug you
And pester you,
Homework,
It refuses to
Leave you alone.

So you give in
And give up.
You give it a try
Find, its not so bad.
Homework, it will not let go of you,
Until you, let go of it.

I see you, do you see me?

How can I tell you
That I think you’re cute?
When you don’t even know that I exist?

How can I be your friend
When you walk down the hall,
You on one side, me on the other?
I see you, do you see me?

How can I talk to you
When you don’t even hear me?
What would I say to you?
