Nature Isn't Ours

Am I the only one who can understand
That even though we might have feet and hands
and ears, eyes and a nose
That we are no better then those -
The other animals who live on the outside
Just because in a house, we reside
But we only have that
because we destroyed their natural habitat
All humans do is kill and take
It's not just yours for Heaven's sake!
Why can't you just give back the Earth
You only took it 'cause you thought of the money it was worth
But how can you buy and sell
land that is and isnt't yours aswell?!
You can't own or claim nature
What is this all for?
Taking and wasting
Never repaying
Mother Nature for her favors
Yet, No beauty you will savor
She gave so much: beauty and the ability to be free
So you go and build cities!
Then you make cars
Why not walk? It isn't THAT hard!
Why grocery stores and plastic bags?
What's the point in making a flag
to 'claim' your country and place
And now you're polluting space!
What makes us think we're so much better?
Is it because we have clothes when dogs barely have sweaters?
Why why why
Must you let nature die
Because of you're so greedy
You can't cherish Nature's beauty!

Nature is has something that so many cannot see
Sometimes I wonder why can it only be seen by me
A beauty, a passion, outside and in
I wish it to be there forever and again
But no - you create fires and burn it all down
just so you can build yourself a new town!
What makes us think we're so special - so great
That we can just take, take and take
Why do WE have human doctors and those who make medicine?
Sure, dogs have vets.. but they're humans!
People claim other animals as their own
When it should be well known
That we are no better then they
Maybe people will notice this one day...
