The sun sets before my mortal eyes
In its final statement it makes a beautiful sight
Across the sky it paints the clouds orange red and gold
My appreciation finally surfaces in my mind
Engrossed I stand before the wondrous sight of nature
All other things lose their meaning as I gaze upon the display
The dictation of time and the placement of it means little now
I lose myself in the great sight before me
Like a cold hand sanity snaps me out of my wonderful trance
The sight I saw has faded away and is replaced by gray
No one being took this away from me yet I still feel resentment
So rare is this great time of reflection and silence
I feel as if I could never re live that single moment
And depending on the fates decision I may be correct
