Contradicting

Always contradicting

That’s her life story

Words that flow

The pictures ethereal glow

Never seem to please.

The way the world is turning

Fires always burning

Never seem to get through.

Her ways of negativity

Always constrict the good

Why oh why does her world spin

Always in black and white

Shades of gray never come

Mundane thoughts

Shallow unspoken words

Are all she is?

Just a doll

Just an ordinary doll

With their cold and glass skin

Never truly alive

Just a doll just an ordinary doll

You never see the wings

Just a doll just an ordinary doll

You can never see

The light in her eyes

Just a doll...not just broken glass

The world is turning

Fires always burning

Will it burn her wings?

Love hate feelings

She should have them now

But all is lost

A mask of a shade of untrue

Pure resentment toward her own

Lights inside

Forever hide

As she washes away all the beams

Darkness outside

Always caressing

Wash away all the light

Condemning her to her own false plight

Stealing beats...

Of that lone...

Cold...

Stone...

Heart.
