Author’s note: Hey everyone! This is my first “real” attempt at writing a fantasy fiction story. So please no flames, because I’ll be very offended. Also one more thing:
Bold Italics: are the Gods speaking.
(Regular) Italics: is Jadeavin Caucasianson, horsedragon speaking.
* The location they are at doesn’t allow them to vocalize anything. It’s all spoken in the mind.
Ok, now with that out of the way, read and enjoy!
The Prophecy
It was time. He knew it was, though that didn’t mean he was any less reluctant to go.
But, why does it have to be now? Why not later?
The time has come. The chosen time has come for you to fulfill the prophecy. She is your future and destiny, no matter how much you try to deny it, Horsedragon Jadeavin.
The young man stood up from his bowed position, one knee on the floor. The place where he was no mortal had or ever will be able to get to. It was void of everything, except for the multi-colored mist. It was bright as day and dark as night, it seemed endless, massive, and at the same time, tiny, like you were trapped in a small hole not able to move a muscle. It was filled with color, yet also black and white. It was a place of the Gods, and it was called the Valace. The Gods, Semi-gods, and all other immortal creatures, there is no heaven or hell, for there never was or ever will be an afterlife for them.
Jadeavin Caucasianson was a horsedragon, one of only three, and the oldest of all immortal creatures. Horsedragons are creatures who have three shapes. Humans only have one shape. Unlike other creatures, a horsedragon is like having three different segments or parts that fit together perfectly in one body. In other words, a horsedragon has a human form, a horse form, and a dragon form. They are also creatures of enormous power, and if desired, have the strength to wipe out whole continents. There have been countless number of stories told and ballads song about their bravery, courage, and heroism. Among the Gods, they are known as “horsedragons” yet by the mortals they are known as “Horse Lords”, “Dragon Lords” “Lord of Horse and Dragon”. They are a legend among mortals.
Of all three horsedragons, Jadeavin was the most powerful, aggressive, and the less patient of the group. His symbol was a white tiger circling a black dragon, representing that he was the bringer of war or the defender when war was upon the land. And there was a war, not a very obvious one, yet one nonetheless. It was a war between the mortals and the immortals.
Horsedragon Jadeavin Caucasianson, whatever you do, you must never forget that she cannot know who and what you are until she has come into her own. You would become too much of a distraction to her.
Are you implying that I’m good looking?
No, you’re just too cocky for your own good, and your arrogance will cost you dearly one of these days.
I’m 50,700,000 years old. I’m as old as you and never once I have I ever had to “pay” for my so called arrogance. I’m not going to start paying for it now.
*sigh* Very well, have it your way. Just this time when you go down to earth…be careful, it’s changed a drastic amount since you’ve last visited it.
How much could possibly change in fifty years? Opening a window or vortex in time and space, the horsedragon left the Valace.
A lot more than you can possibly imagine in your wildest dreams, Jadeavin Caucasinson. And you are too damn good looking.
