Author's Note ctd: If you don't know, I've had A LOT of trouble posting this poem. The system wouldn't take it the 75 times I've renamed it and resaved it under different htms and txts. Okay, it WILL get posted. I'm making this a text file, FOR CERTAIN! If it doesn't go up, expect not to see me for a few days. =) So, because it is going to be a text file, my title and name won't be bold or in the center like it usually is. Sorry.
Dedication: I dedicate this poem to my 7th grade teacher, Mrs. Brockhaus. Thanks for everything.
The Things I Am Thankful For
by: Theed
I am thankful for the little things like writings, poems, and books;
They give me a sense of gracefulness and are never judged by looks.
Rock 'n' roll music and the 50's and 60's will always be the same;
The Beatles who I'll always think are never ever lame.
Teachers and school who let me learn seriously and having fun;
And math's the subject I believe will always be number 1.
Imaginations and magic that let my creative mind flow;
And color that is as soft and light as a cotton pillow.
Pianos and violins that make music so serene;
And music that makes life easier in people, places, and things.
I am thankful for the big things like family, pets, and friends;
They make this lifetime wonderful, wonderful to the very end.
Birthdays and presents that come around every year;
And holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas that are full of delightful cheer.
For movies such as "Star Wars" that I could never live without;
And science fiction worlds I could only dream about.
But I am mostly thankful for God who created the universe and stars;
Because He made this world ours.
I apologize in advance if it sounds cheezy, but it is one of my poems, even if I wrote it when I was 13, almost three full years ago.
