Question

This is a time to let my mind wander

Let my life be squandered

away

This is a time I will not forget

And I will always regret

my sins

This knowledge will become power

I will use it every hour

of my life

I will become significant

But I will be indifferent

to the needy

I no longer hear the pleas

For they are only fleas

in the game of life

I will never meet my end

Because I will always be able to defend

my capitalistic needs

And Corporate America and Free Enterprise and Laissez Faire

I will be able to beat back the Bureaucratic Vultures and the Socialistic Mongrels who threaten life, liberty, and property

The Tree-Hugging, Mao-Sympathizing, Money-Thieving, Fence-Sitting, Hippie, Bohemian radicals should step back

and question

AN:  I would like to stress the use of sarcasm in the poem.  People on seem to have a difficult time recognizing it.  As such, I am forced to TELL YOU, POINT BLANK.  You reviewers take all the fun out of everything.  I swear to god, if I get any uber liberal or uber conservative response talking about how offended you were, I will hunt you down and flog you, you crazy son of a bitch.  But I do hope that you noticed the purpose of the poem and that you grow into a mature and thoughtful political adult, as I am trying to do now.  This world certainly needs more of them.

AN 2:  GOD DAMN IT!  I hope whoever reviewed under the name hikari dies immediately.  I hope he/she gets hit by a bus or something.  I don’t need to hear about it or anything, because then I’d feel guilty… maybe… probably not…  But I say I’m being sarcastic in the poem.  I SAY IT.  IT’S RIGHT THERE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!  But no, I still get a review from this idiot saying, and I quote, “Tree-Hugging? Groovy man, there are reasons why [they] believe in what they believe and just because you don't agree with them, gives you no right to wrong them.”  JESUS!  I haven’t wronged anyone, I merely express my opinion that people should question their views.  Not just liberals, but conservatives as well.  As for you, Mr./Mrs. Hikari, I hope you choke on a piece of food during your next meal.
