So blinded by artificial light
That I can't see the burnt-out stars
I try to drift away
I can't explain the pain
Neptune's dagger freezes my heart

The world gets colder and colder
Our souls continue growing
I could run away
Or back to you
But I don't know where to start

If you disappear I'll sink forever into the night
And find you there on Icarus' wings
If I only let you fly

When I wake up I will let you go
And give myself to time

So comfort me my Capricorn
Play me a sad sad song
Send your arrows to the moon
And maybe a star will fall

As the notes drift from violin to twilight
Like words that will only be forgotten
But never by me
I slowly die holding your band
But you didn't see
And so you leave me haunted

Like the summer sky that has more warmth
Than I hold in my heart
Like the feeling I'll get when I think of you
Gazing up at Mars

So remember me my Capricorn
Send a lullaby to the stars
For the one who tried but only failed
To stay near you
As the current pulled us apart

A/N ~ "Neptune's dagger" refers to calling the cell phone of the guy I like and another girl answering; this happened right after my friend got mad at me. (perfect weekend, huh?)
