Beginnings

Junel passed back and forth across the wooden floor of her tower bedroom. All she could think of was what would come to be in three days. It was meant to be, her namesake. She was to be married to the heir of Valendria. But to her it was to soon. She was only thirteen for heavens sake. In fact her wedding was on her fourteenth birthday. Her husband to be was three years older and almost a foot taller. He was the handsomest man in the lands but he was not Junel’s choice for the perfect husband.

He had been betrothed to the Princess of Calendor but the King of Walencino had captured her. It was a horrible experience for the poor girl. But, she soon got over it once she learned the richest king of all the lands know had captured her. She quickly wed him and is now with child.

But to Junel’s despair she was the prince’s second choice. Being the next in line to be his Queen, she was rushed to his kingdom where she could be kept close as not to be captured. The Prince was sulking the loss of the beautiful princess until he saw Junel. She had kept herself secluded form such noble men for she knew of her beauty. She was far fairer then any Princess or Queen ever known. It was her curse.
