Fool's Blues:

Verse One:
Well I just won me some fool's blues
Some strange prize for me to choose
Don't you try
Don't you try
To love somebody who doesn't love you.

And I've been waiting to find my way
Soon this old dog will have his day
And I sway
And I sway
From left to right and from night to day

Verse Two:
Send my regards to the prince and the queen
I'm going back to never be seen
To the place
To the place
Where everything rots in the grave with me

And I'm still trying to find a way
To get these blues from staying to play
And I tried
And I tried
To get a little closer to the stench of dismay

Verse Three:
Tell my mom these problems ain't hers
From the present time back to when it blurs
And I cried
And I cried
I cried all the problems down the drain.

I can't help wondering if it's really true
If these blues are mine, what should I do?
Can I go
Can I go
Back on home where it all is brand new?

Verse Four:
So long baby, it's been a real trip
before I leave here's another tip:
Don't you try
Don't you try
To win some blues from some unknown

This is me, alone at last
All I got is the blues from my past
Just let go
Just let go
Sit on the edge and don't look back.

Verse Five:
I flipped the switch, it's all done now
I can wipe the sweat from my brow
Say goodbye
Say goodbye
Goodbye blues, I won't be missing you.

Hello tomorrow, I've been waiting for you
Now that you're here, what to do?
Ain't it fun
Ain't if fun
To live on not feeling blue.
