She failed her test
I wished she passed
Because this result
Will make her bottom of the class.

She really is smart
She really is sweet
I know without her
My life's not complete

I've taught her
For so many years
I've watched her grow up
And overcome all her fears.

It couldn't hurt
To change one little mark.
No-one will find out
It's best kept in the dark.

For that one little mark
Means so much to her
I can't bear to see her face fall
And give up and concur

For I love her with all my heart
Even though she's my student
Despite all they say
About how it's not prudent

For how can one maths test
Judge her in worth?
In my heart, she is always the best
And a wondorous stir.

I wish I could tell her how I feel
Reach out and touch her,
Oh, it wouldn't seem real
Maybe tomorrow

Yes, tomorrow I shall tell her
After our class
I'll tell her I love her
And about the test that she'll always pass.
