Epilogue
Four months later:
“I can’t believe the summer is over,” Destin said from where he stood looking out the window of the living room. He heard Armand make some unintelligent noise from the sofa. He let his eyes scan the darkening sky before going back to the expanse of the yard he could see. “Armand are you listening?”
“Something about summer?” Armand asked looking up from the book that he was reading.
“Oh you’re terrible,” Destin grinned moving towards him. He stopped in front of Armand his hands on his hips.
“Yeah,” Armand said reaching up to pull the boy down on top of him. Destin squeaked softly before a giggle escaped him. Leaning up slightly, a moan escaped him when Armand attacked his neck, slowly sucking.
“I love you,” Destin said softly as Armand rolled them on the sofa pressing Destin back against the back of the sofa.
“I love you also,” Armand said gently kissing the boy. Pulling back, Armand pulled the throw from the back of the sofa, gently tucking it around them. “You are my reason for living.”
“Armand,” Destin said reaching out to gently touch the man’s face, his fingers lightly brushing Armand’s lips. “And you’re the reason I came back.”
“I’m never going to let you go, Sweets.” Armand said kissing Destin’s fingers. He saw Destin smile softly as the boy reached up to bury his hand in Armand’s hair.
“Good, because I wouldn’t let you, my angel.” Destin said pulling Armand down slightly to kiss the man. Armand moaned into the kiss, god he loved this boy’s mouth. When Destin pulled back they both were flush and Destin was smiling.
“You are very bad today,” Armand muttered softly hearing the boy’s laugh low.
“Are you going to punish me?” Destin asked wiggling against the bigger man’s body.
“Oh god, enough of that.” Edward said from the doorway hearing both men groan. “You guys have company.”
“Company?” Armand asked looking up, he saw detective Born standing there with another man.
“Mr. Riesel, this is Mr. Preston.” Born said watching the two of themselves disentangle themselves from each other and sit up.
“Yes I am familiar with Mr. Preston.” Armand said indicating for the men to sit.
“I’ll get right to the reason for my visit Mr. Riesel, I’m prosecuting Val Demarco for his attempted murder of Mr. Rarry.” Mr. Preston said seeing a panicked look cross the redhead’s face.
“Um…ah excuse me, please.” Destin said standing, he stopped when he felt Armand’s hand on his arm. Destin just shook his head, before bolting from the room.
“Edward,” Armand said seeing Destin’s father get up to follow after his son. “Destin is still prone to panic attacks.”
“Oh,” Mr. Preston said softly looking down.
“I’m sorry Mr. Preston, I’m not sure though what you want.” Armand said seeing the man look up at him.
“Well I was hoping to get Destin on the stand,” He said glancing at Detective Born.
“I’m not sure if that’s going to be feasible, not with his panic attacks, and the fact he’s still healing from all this.” Armand said seeing them both nod. “I can certainly talk with him.”
“I would appreciate that, it will make things easier all around.” Mr. Preston said shaking his head. Armand nodded as he stood, and with the detective and lawyer in tow headed towards the kitchen.
“Destin?” Armand inquired watching as Destin shook his head no as he stood by the birdcage.
“I can’t, I won’t Armand. I just want to forget him, and what he did.” Destin said softly.
“It doesn’t work that way, sweets.” Armand said moving towards the boy. “He can’t hurt you anymore, I won’t let him.”
“But he does Armand, how many times have I woken up screaming from the nightmares? And the panic attacks.” Destin said refusing to look at his lover, or acknowledge the others in the room. “I can barley leave the house without clinging to you.”
“I know, but you’re healing, and Doctor Lane said you’re doing so well.” Armand said seeing Destin look at him.
“If I’m doing so well, then why haven’t you gone back to work? Why haven’t I?” Destin asked seeing that Armand didn’t know the answer to that.
“It’s only been a few months, sweets.” Armand said seeing Destin shake his head.
“A few months, or a few years Armand. It doesn’t matter, because in the long run he’s already won.” Destin said turning and leaving the kitchen. He didn’t even look at the others as he made his exit.
“I don’t know what to tell you,” Armand said sounding pained. “I can see if I can at least talk him into talking with you guys.”
“Thank you,” Mr. Preston said following after Born from the house. As they walked down to the car, Mr. Preston glanced at the detective again. “Tell me something.”
“Sure,” Born said as they got into the car.
“You saw the boy just after he was attacked the first time,” Preston asked seeing the detective was pulling slowly down the driveway.
“Yeah, his face was a mass of bruises, and he clang to Mr. Riesel.” Born said pulling to a stop by the gate. “And this is new.”
“The gate?” Preston asked, letting his eyes run the impressive gate.
“Yeah, when I was here the last time this wasn’t here.” Born said waving to the guard as he pulled out into the street. “But then Destin wasn’t all that worried about Mr. Demarco, or at least he tried to convince himself and Mr. Riesel that.”
“But he was?” Preston asked seeing the detective glance over at him.
“Heck yeah, kid was terrified, but was in that ‘I’ll ignore it and it’ll go away’ faze.” Born said shaking his head. “Boy was full of life too, it’s real sad seeing him like that.”
“Yeah it’s very sad.” Preston said seeing the man stop in front of his house. “Thanks.”
“Sure, good luck on that kid.” Born said waving goodbye, Preston waved back before walking into his house.
“Allan is that you?” His wife Roxanne called from the kitchen.
“Yeah it is,” Allan said loosing his tie as he walked into the kitchen to kiss the woman on the cheek. Walking over he looked out of the patio door towards the backyard. He watched for a minute his children in the yard.
“What is it?” Roxanne asked seeing Allan glance back at her.
“My current case,” Allan replied turning as he watched Jason and Vi enter the room.
“Hey dad,” Jason said looking between his mother and father.
“Hey,” Allan said smiling at them.
“So what’s up with your current case, you said it was open and closed.” Roxanne said glancing at her husband as she went back to working on supper.
“Well it was suppose to be, but Destin Rarry doesn’t want to help.” Allan said missing the look on his son’s face, and that of Jason’s lover. “He pretty much told me that he is going to forget what happened.”
“Did you say Destin Rarry?” Jason asked seeing his father turn to him. “Hundred pound five foot redhead?”
“Yeah, you know him?” Allan asked seeing Jason nod.
“I did an article on him last September.” Jason said meeting his father’s eyes. “What happened?”
“Um, in early December Destin was attacked by an ex-lover of Mr. Riesel’s.” Allan said seeing his son’s widen. “And in June he was almost drowned in the pool by the same ex-lover.”
“Oh god,” Vi said seeing them look at him. “It’s just he such a sweet person, to think that someone tried to kill him.”
“Is he ok dad?” Jason asked seeing his father drop his eyes.
“Well,” Allan started looking back at his son. “Not really, he’s alive yes, but he seems so scared.”
“Oh,” Jason said shaking his head slightly. “Wow.”
“And he doesn’t want to testify against the man, and I’m not sure what to do.” Allan said moving away when he heard the phone ring.
“You ok?” Jason asked Vi seeing the man looking down at the floor.
“Yeah,” Vi said looking up. “Its just hard to believe anyone would want to hurt him.”
“Yeah,” Jason said looking up when his father hung the phone up.
“That was Mr. Riesel,” Allan said looking between his wife and son. “He would like me and my wife and Jason along with Vi to come spend the weekend at his house, hoping to bring Destin out of his slump.”
“Why Jason?” Roxanne asked.
“Because Destin asked if Jason was related to me, and mentioned he liked Jason and Jason’s boyfriend.” Allan said not mentioning that Jason and Vi’s invite was murmured from a sleepy sounding voice that wasn’t Armand’s.
“Great,” Jason said smiling.
“Jason?” Vi muttered, seeing his lover look up at him.
“Hum?” Jason asked.
“What do you think we’ll find this weekend?” Vi asked moving towards the bed.
“I don’t know,” Jason said watching as Vi climbed onto the bed and slowly moved to straddle him. Reaching up he let his hands slide up Vi’s legs. “Hopefully it’s not as bad as dad said.”
“Yeah,” Vi said shifting slightly leaning down he kissed Jason, letting the man deepen the kiss. He moaned into Jason’s mouth, a small yelp escaping him when he felt the man’s fingers on his nipples. Vi moved, trying to wiggle back only to have one of Jason’s arms come around him. “Jason?”
“Shush, it’s ok.” Jason said rolling them to pin his lover under him. Moving he brought his mouth to a nipple, hearing Vi’s sharp intake of breath. His other hand made its way towards his lover’s erection. “God Drake, I love you.”
“Jason,” Vi hissed moaning as Jason’s hand found his opening to slowly rub over it. Another moan escaped him when Jason pushed a finger into him. “Oh Jason, aahh…”
Jason grinned, pulling back to reach for the lube. Pouring some onto his fingers he pushed two into his lover hearing the man moan loudly. Slowly stretching his lover, Jason leaned up kissing the man deeply. After a few minutes he pulled his fingers free and coating his own erection smiled as he positioned himself before pushing into his lover.
Vi moaned arching against Jason, his eyes wide as he reached up wrapping his arms around Jason’s shoulders, and his legs around the man’s waist. Letting his legs tighten he groaned when Jason stopped. He shifted, hoping that Jason would move. He cried out when Jason’s hot mouth covered his nipple again, his back arched.
“Jason, god Jason.” Vi hissed. But Jason didn’t relent, as he moved his hand up to fondle the other nipple making the man under him writhe and cry out. Jason smiled knowing he could bring Vi to orgasm by his nipples alone. Taking pity he finally started to thrust, his mouth sucking against his lover’s nipple.
Vi cried out, orgasm rushed through him. His vision blurred as Jason continued to thrust as he clawed at his lovers back. Closing his eyes he gritted his teeth as Jason worked on making him hard again.
“Drake, god baby.” Jason hissed capturing the man’s mouth under his. Jason closed his eyes, gritting his teeth against the pleasure he was feeling. Reaching down he stroked his lover’s half hard member hearing Drake moan deeply. Pulling back Drake’s eyes widening his mouth opened as he moaned again. He could hardly breathe as he felt another orgasm approach.
“Jason!” Vi cried out arching up hard against his lover.
“Drake,” Jason hissed out as orgasm washed over him and he groaned into his lover’s neck. After a few minutes when both of them could breath again, Jason slipped to his side pulling his lover close. “I love you.”
“Um I love you too.” Vi answered softly, cuddling deeply into Jason’s side.
Destin rolled, snuggling into his lover’s side. He mumbled something but Destin wasn’t awake enough to even figure out what it was. He sighed when Armand turned on his side letting Destin snuggle deeper into his chest. Armand smiled as he wrapped his arms tightly around the boy.
Armand smiled slightly as Destin’s breathing evened back out, and he knew his lover had gone back to sleep. Pulling back slightly he looked down into the boy’s face. Reaching out he gently pushed the hair from Destin’s face. After a few minutes he watched as sleepy silver green eyes opened.
“I was trying to sleep,” Destin said softly looking up at his lover.
“I know, but I wanted to play with you.” Armand said grinning when Destin blushed.
“Armand,” Destin scolded laughing slightly. A moan escaped him when Armand suddenly nuzzled his neck. Tilting his head back he wrapped his arms around Armand pulling the man closer. Armand pulled back slightly when he heard a knock on the bedroom door.
“Yeah?” He called out slightly.
“You have company,” Margaret called from the other side of the doorway. Armand sighed, looking down at the boy who had one eyebrow raised.
“I guess you have to get up,” Destin said grinning slightly as he started to pull away.
“You too sweets,” Armand said grinning as he got out of bed in search of clothing. Destin just smiled as he watched Armand dress. He put on his most innocent look when Armand glanced back at him as he pulled on jeans. “Destin?”
“Yes?” Destin said grinning.
“Are you going to get out of bed?” Armand asked the boy seeing Destin shrug slightly. “Destin get out of bed and get dressed.”
“Oh ok,” Destin said yawning and stretching. Pulling the blanket aside he got out of bed, and walking over to the dresser started to dig for clothing.
“I’ll meet you down stairs.” Armand said heading out of the room.
“Ok,” Destin said glancing back as he pulled on his clothing and went to brush his hair and teeth. After he had finished he left the bedroom and slowly made his way downstairs. He stopped in the kitchen doorway as he scanned the four people that were talking with Armand.
“Ah Destin come here,” Armand said when he saw the boy was about to bolt from the doorway. Letting his eyes scan the people again Destin finally crossed the kitchen and went directly into Armand’s arms.
“Why are they here?” Destin asked his mind telling him he should remember something about it. Yet for the life of him he couldn’t place the conversation.
“They’re spending the weekend, Destin you remember Allen Preston right?” Armand asked seeing the boy nod. “This is his wife Roxanne.”
“Ma’am. Destin said softly.
“It’s nice to meet you Destin,” Roxanne said not moving from her husband’s side. She could see weariness in the boy’s eyes.
“Hey,” Jason said smiling as he and Vi stood beside Jason’s parents. Destin nodded before turning back to Armand.
“Armand?” Destin said softly.
“It’s ok, you’ll do fine.” Armand said smiling gently. Destin nodded slightly moving towards the other side of the kitchen where he got tea from Margaret. He took his tea out to the patio, knowing that the rest of them would follow. He was right, not more them a minute after he sat down did the rest of them join him.
“So Jason told me you do landscaping?” Roxanne asked after a few minutes of uncomfortable silence.
“Yes, although as of right know, I’m not with the season ending.” Destin said softly.
“Oh,” she said looking at Allen who kind of shrugged.
“The rose garden still has some blooms, Vi would you be interested in seeing them?” Destin asked not even looking up as he asked the question.
“Sure,” Vi said as he moved down towards the yard.
“Should we follow?” Jason asked seeing Armand shake his head no.
“Destin hasn’t been out to the rose garden since the accident.” Armand said softly looking up when he saw a flash of pink. Seconds later Vivian glomped Destin laughing. “That’s Destin’s friend Vivian, she’s hyper.”
“I think we all know kids like that,” Roxanne said smiling. She looked up as another couple came out to the patio.
“This is Brian and Nancy, more friends of Destin’s.” Armand said seeing them nod. The group stood watching Destin as he tried to pry Vivian off and poor Vi who looked like he wanted to run. A few minutes later, another boy showed up, walking over to yank poor Vivian back. He stood between Destin and Vivian until the girl pouted. Then he turned and pulled Destin into a protective hug.
“Who is that?” Jason asked.
“That would be mine,” Came a voice from behind the group.
“Allan,” Armand scolded turning to see the businessman grinning.
“Well he is,” Allan said shrugging slightly as he came closer to them. He stopped next to Armand looking out over the yard. “Who’s the long haired kid?”
“Mine,” Jason said grinning even as his mother smacked him in the shoulder. “Ow mom.”
“Vi heard you say that and he’s beat you with a newspaper.” Roxanne said seeing her son grin. They turned back watching as Destin edged around the group of people, before he bolted towards the patio. At first they thought he’d go to Armand, but found instead he went into another’s on the patio.
“Everyone this is Stu and Margaret Gates,” Armand said seeing Gates looking down at the boy who was clinging to him. He looked up at him with big teary green eyes.
“Don’t look at me like that,” Gates said softly wrapping his arms around Destin.
“But they’re ganging up on me,” Destin said looking over at his friends that had come up. Vivian and Lincoln were arguing about who should stay away from Destin, and Vi looked completely confused and slightly sad.
“Vi,” Jason said seeing Vi and Vivian look at him. Smiling nicely at the girl Jason snagged his lover arm to pull him slightly closer.
“Alright enough,” Armand said, seeing the group turn to him. “Lincoln Vivian, let the boy be.”
“But she’s a bloody nuisance,” Lincoln hissed softly, seeing Vivian turn big tear filled blue eyes at him.
“That’s not nice…you wanker.” Vivian hissed back.
“Lincoln,” Allan said walking over to pull the boy away from Vivian before it got physical. Pulling the boy to his side he turned Lincoln back towards Armand who was grinning, and Allan looked back in time to see Vivian was sticking her tongue out at the boy’s back.
“Ha ha,” Destin grinned pulling away to snag Vi arm again and lead him from the patio. Vivian, Lincoln, Brian and Nancy followed, each smiling at the people left on the patio.
“So did you have a chance to talk with him?” Allen asked looking over at Armand.
“Some, but it didn’t go all that well.” Armand said still watching his lover cross the lawn.
“Talk to him about what?” Allan asked looking between them. He watched as the four people turned to him. “Armand?”
“They want Destin to testify at Val’s trial.” Armand said seeing Allan nod before he turned back to the lawyer.
“And if Destin doesn’t testify?” Allan asked.
“Well then…” Allen replied glancing between Armand and the man standing next to him.
“It’s still so peaceful out here,” Vi said grinning down at the redhead who walked next to him. He watched as Destin glanced back seeing the Lincoln was the closest to them.
“Yeah, how’s it going between you and Jason?” Destin asked seeing the blush that crossed Vi’s deeply tanned skin, and the grin that crossed the other lips.
“Um…real good.” Vi said grinning. “You were right about waiting until we were ready, and not rushing things.”
“Rushing what?” Lincoln asked falling into step with them.
“Oh you know what, you two don’t know each other,” Destin said. “Lincoln Witherspoon, this is Vi, Vi Lincoln.”
“Hey,” Lincoln said eyeing the other man. Vi was only a few inches shorter then him, and he had yet to figure out the man’s hair color.
“Yes, it’s nice to meet you,” Vi said watching as Lincoln reached out to touch Destin lightly. Seeing Destin grin at him slightly before he turned back to the path.
“Are you dating one of the men here?” Lincoln asked Vi seeing the man nod.
“Um…Jason. Tall guy with dark brown hair, sand color eyes.” Vi said smiling. “And you’re dating the tall dark-haired man?”
“No, he owns me.” Lincoln said before shrugging slightly. Vi didn’t respond to that, not sure what to say.
“It’s a long story,” Destin offered slightly.
“No it’s not, Allan Bates is a bloody bastard that can’t take no for an answer,” Lincoln muttered seeing Destin look at him surprised. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t love ‘im.”
“Lincoln,” Destin said laughing slightly. He wondered if these two would ever come to some understanding in their relationship anymore. They arrived at the rose garden, finding the wrought iron bench, the three boy sat down. Vi was aware of how Lincoln kept touching Destin and wondered if something was going on between the two of them, but kept that to himself.
“God I love this area,” Vivian said dropping down into the grass. Brian and Nancy also dropped down, sitting in front of the bench slightly.
“So what’s with all the people?” Brian asked seeing Destin shrug slightly. He watched the boy, seeing that Destin didn’t want to answer. “Does it have to do with what happened to you?”
“Maybe,” Destin said hoping they would drop the subject. He tensed slightly when Lincoln wrapped a friendly arm around his shoulders.
“Destin?” Vivian asked her voice quiet and full of concern. Destin look up meeting her eyes, before he dropped them to his lap.
“I um…would rather not talk about it.” Destin said closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.
“You can’t avoid or forget what happened Destin,” Brian said seeing the boy look up at him. As much as he didn’t want to see Destin cry again, he knew the boy needed to deal. Destin shook his head.
“I don’t want to deal with it, Val…Val…” Destin trailed off as his breathing because slightly erratic. Just saying the man’s name sent panic through him.
“Destin?” Vi said reaching out to turn the boy’s face towards him. Destin pulled away from him, each breath he took burned his chest. He turned, burring his face into Lincoln’s neck as he closed his eyes and tried to stop his panic.
“Shit,” Lincoln said shifting against Destin when he heard the wheezing start. Reaching out he took Destin’s head pulling him back to see the boy’s eyes were wide. “Deep breathes, slow and deep.”
“What the hell?” Brian asked sitting up straighter in the grass.
“Vivian, go get Armand hurry.” Lincoln hissed shifting Destin. Vivian nodded, turning she ran from the garden towards the patio.
“Armand!” Vivian said as she neared the patio, she saw the man bolt up from his chair. “Destin is having a panic attack, and he can’t breath.”
“Shit,” Armand hissed heading off the patio towards the rose garden. By the time Armand got to the rose garden Destin was sitting on his knees taking shallow but steady breaths. Dropping down next to him, he wasn’t surprised when Destin threw himself into his arms. “Are you ok?”
“Yeah,” Destin said burring his face into his lover’s chest. After a few minutes he pulled back, his eyes droopy and his skin still slightly pale.
“What happened?” Armand asked.
“I don’t want to talk about it,” Destin said shaking his head.
“You want to go back to the house?” He asked seeing Destin nod. Standing he helped the boy to his feet, then led the way back to the house where Margaret was waiting looking worried. Once on the patio Destin pulled away.
“I’m gonna lay down for a while,” Destin said going into the house. Armand watched him go, before turning back to the people that were behind him.
“Does that happen often?” Vi asked seeing Armand look at him.
“Depends, sometimes yeah. Other it’s days that go by before it happens.” Armand said shaking his head. “That’s why I don’t think he’ll be able to testify, his panic attacks are just to much.”
“I showed him an exercise that I use to use why I first started to perform.” Vi said softly. “I had terrible stage fright, and off would succumb to panic attacks.”
“I didn’t know that,” Roxanne said seeing Vi just shrug slight. They turned back to Armand who was worried about Destin.
Destin rolled looking at the clock again. He knew that he was going to have to get up sooner or later, or Margaret would be pounding on his door telling him to get his ass to the dinner table. Rolling again he pulled the covers over his head wishing to get more sleep.
“Destin?” Destin pulled the covers down letting his eyes find the owner of the voice. He raised an eyebrow at Lincoln as the boy crossed the room. “Are you ok?”
“I guess,” Destin said shifting slightly and pulling the blankets back letting his friend crawl into the bed with him. Lincoln pulled the boy into his arms, shifting until they were both comfortable. “Is there still lot of people down there?”
“Yeah, Billy and Trey are here, as are Angie and Adam.” Lincoln said grinning slightly. “I like this bed.”
“Thanks,” Destin said glancing up at him.
“But Vivian left, she said something about meeting ‘er sister for something,” Lincoln replied. They were quiet for a while. “Is there anything I can do to ‘elp you?”
“No,” Destin said shifting again. “Dr. Lane and Armand both said that I, just need to give it time.”
“Well sometimes you ave to do that,” Lincoln said hearing the door open then close. Both boys looked up seeing Armand raise an eyebrow as he approached the bed.
“Hey,” Destin said grinning as Armand crawled into the bed with them. He pulled Destin close, seeing that Lincoln came with and laughed softly. Destin moved until he was lying on Armand chest, with one arm still around Lincoln.
“What would Allan say if he saw this?” Armand asked amused.
“Oh somewhere along the lines of, hey why didn’t I get invited?” Allan said from the doorway. Armand grinned at him, before the man shrugged.
“Well ok, come on in.” Armand said watching as Allan crossed the room to jump into the bed. They laughed, seeing Allan cuddled to Lincolns back, pinning one of Armand’s arms between him and Lincoln. “Oh delightful a cuddle fest.”
“Well we could all be naked.” Allan stated seeing three pairs of eyes look at him strangely. He shrugged grinning slightly.
“Allan,” Lincoln scolded.
“What? Its not like we didn’t hear them during the cruise,” Allan responded seeing Destin turn bright red to the roots of his hair.
“Is that Margaret I hear calling?” Destin said pulling away. The four made their way out of bed, and down to the dining room. Armand kept a hand on his lover, smiling at Allan as they talked about business. They sat down seeing that Margaret had everyone else seated.
Jason had looked up when the four men had entered the room. He glanced at Vi, having heard the man voice his concerns. But Jason had a hard time seeing either Armand or Allan letting their respective partners play together or swapping them. Watching them sit down he glanced at Vi again to see the man watching them.
Jason glanced at Billy and Trey, the other couple that had joined them, besides Armand sister and her husband. Billy had heard the conversation between him and Vi and had laughingly told them, that Armand would maim the first person that touched his baby; if they didn’t believe him he should check out Val’s fingers.
“Hey Billy, Trey.” Destin said nodding towards them.
“Hey sweetie, how’s it going?” Billy asked seeing Armand eye him slightly.
“Ok,” Destin said shrugging slightly as the meal started. Destin fell quiet; his mind going over what happened that afternoon, and why these people where here. He glanced at Armand, knowing that Armand needed him to face his demon before they got married.
But that meant dealing with what Val did to him, all of what Val did to him. Even the stuff, which he hadn’t told Armand about. Looking down he let his left hand curl into a fist, the nails digging into his hands. He was so deeply into his thoughts that he jumped when Armand touched him arm, pulling his hand up to uncurl his fingers, and to press a napkin into it to stop the blood.
“Sorry,” Destin muttered knowing that the others were looking at him. He glanced up before returning to his meal, trying to push the others out of his head. He ate very little, and by the time coffee and dessert rolled around he was ready to head back to bed. They moved to the living room seeing Brian and Nancy head home, and Armand Adam, Allan, and Allen leave the room to discuss something.
“You ok?” Lincoln asked dropping down beside Destin his hand gently touched Destin’s.
“Yeah,” Destin said sounding completely done in. He glanced up seeing sitting next to him on the other side was Billy and Trey, on the other side of the sofa was Angie, and across from him was Jason and Vi. He shifted leaning against Lincoln and closed his eyes.
“Destin,” Angelica said, seeing the boy look at her.
“I know ok,” Destin said softly. “I know he’s going to make me go see Dr. Lane tomorrow.”
“You hurt yourself again,” Angelica said softly. Destin nodded, dropping his eyes again. He was quiet as Lincoln wrapped his arm around his shoulder, and he leaned against his friend.
“Destin,” Angelica said again.
“Angie honey, let the boy be.” Billy said reaching out to pat Destin on his leg. “Let him make his own decision when it comes to this. Because only he knows what happened that day.”
“What?” Destin said looking up at Billy.
“What happened, the day at the pool.” Billy said seeing Destin look confused slightly.
“Armand knows what happened, as does everyone else who was there.” Destin said looking at Billy as Lincoln’s arms tightened around him.
“From what I heard, apparently Val told his lawyer that he had stopped by to talk to you, and you had slipped and fell into the pool.” Billy said seeing the boy’s eyes widen even more. “And that he jumped in trying to save you, but you fought him.”
“That’s not true,” Destin hissed. “What about Dog? What about the marks on my face?”
Billy patted his leg again while he looked at the boy sadly. “He said you did it yourself because you were concerned that he was a threat to your relationship.”
“Why that’s bull, bloody hell.” Destin muttered hearing Lincoln laugh. Billy shrugged slightly before turning his attention back to Trey. Destin fumed, and Billy smiled at Angelica. Jason looked between them, seeing something pass between the two. He wondered at what it was. He looked up when the other came back. “Mr. Preston.”
“Yes?” The lawyer said. Vi watched Armand and Allan’s reaction to seeing there lovers pressed together holding onto each other.
“I’ll try,” Destin said softly. “I’ll try to testify.”
“Good,” Allen said smiling slightly. Watching as Destin fidgeted beside Lincoln, the boy let his gaze scan the people. Destin stood, pulling away from Lincoln to cross to Armand.
“I’m tired, I think I’ll turn in.” Destin said. He stopped by Armand, looking up when the man touched his shoulder.
“Ok, but I want to show you something first.” Armand said looking out to see Margaret. “Maggie, can you show everyone to rooms?”
“Of course,” Margaret said watching as Destin and Armand said goodnight and turned to leave the room. Armand led the way towards his office. Entering he took Destin’s hand as they neared the desk, he pulled Destin into his lap before reaching out to pull open a drawer.
“Armand?” Destin asked, as he snuggled into his lover’s chest.
“I want to show you something.” Armand said pulling out a file. “Because, I don’t want you to think that I would date someone like how Val is.”
“Armand,” Destin said sitting up to pull away.
“Destin please, just listen to me ok?” Armand asked reaching out to lay a reassuring hand on Destin’s back. Destin nodded, reaching out to take the picture that Armand was holding. Looking at the man in the picture his brow drew together. The man had short brown hair, bright blue eyes and looked normal. He turned to look up at Armand.
“Ok.” Destin said, seeing Armand smile.
“That’s Val, when I first met him. Before he became what he is.” Armand said. Reaching out he took the picture from Destin’s hand. “He came from well off parents, while they weren’t rich, they didn’t want for much.”
“Oh,” Destin said knowing now why he had called Destin lower class.
“His parents kicked him out when they found out he was gay, and about two years later I met him. We started dating and it went from there.” Armand said. He looked at Destin; a sad smile crossed his face. “But then he changed, the plastic surgeries, and he started to wear dresses and heavy makeup. Before I knew it he was blond, and spending five, six thousand a day.”
“You don’t blame this on yourself do you?” Destin asked looking up to see guilt cross Armand’s face.
“Maybe if I had roped in his spending and procedures done, then maybe he wouldn’t have become such a self hating person.” Armand said.
“You couldn’t have done anything Armand, cut his amount of spending only would have made thing harder between you too, and besides look at me, you don’t monitor my spending and I’m ok.” Destin said reaching up to wrap his arms around Armand’s neck. Armand nodded, leaning down to kiss the boy.
“Tomorrow I want you to see Lane, if he has an opening.” Armand said reaching out to touch Destin’s hand. He slowly let his thumb rub over the band-aid on Destin’s palm.
“I know,” Destin said softly. “Lets go to bed now.”
“Ok,” Armand said grinning.
Billy grinned saying goodnight to Margaret, before shooing Trey into the room. Shutting the door he grinned as he watched his lover cross the room. He had a hard time pulling his eye away from Trey’s lean body as the man started to undress.
“I love you, Trey.” Billy said softly, seeing his lover pause to look at him.
“I love you too Billy,” Trey said barely above a whisper. He smiled almost shyly as he finished stripping down to his boxers. He watched as Billy crossed the space between them, letting his eyes meet his lovers. Billy smiled slightly before his face turned serious and he leaned to kiss Trey’s mouth. Letting his arms wrap around Trey, Billy heard the other’s low moan.
Trey pulled back slightly, he knew that look in Billy’s eyes. But he didn’t know if he would be able to give the man what he wanted. Dropping his eyes, he let his hands go to Billy’s clothing. This was the only time that Billy was deadly serious. Once he had Billy stripped naked he finally met his lover’s eyes.
“God Trey,” Billy started letting his forehead rest against his lover’s. He moaned slightly when he felt Trey’s hand on his erection slowly stroking it. “Sometimes it takes my breath away, seeing what you do to me with just a touch.”
“I know,” Trey said grinning slightly.
“I want to make love to you.” Billy said softly his eyes on his lover’s hand. Trey didn’t answer, but then again Billy wasn’t expecting an answer. Reaching up he cupped Trey’s cheek seeing that the man was somewhat contemplating his request. “I love you Trey, you know that, and you know I wouldn’t cause you any pain.”
“I know,” Trey said. “And ok, lets try.”
“Ok,” Billy said softly moving him towards the bed. Slowly lowering them Billy kept his mouth on his lover’s, as his hands started to roam. Trey closed his eyes, taking deep even breaths as he tried to stay calm. He moaned when he felt Billy’s hand brush against his erection. But he stiffened when he felt Billy’s fingers drop lower.
“Billy wait,” Trey said pulling away. “I’m sorry, I just can’t.”
“It’s ok love,” Billy said with a slight sigh. He smiled at his lover before dropping a kiss to the man’s mouth. Pulling back he watched as Trey got under the covers, watching as Billy pulled on his pants.
“Billy?” Trey asked seeing Billy look at him with a smile.
“I’m going to go get a glass of water.” Billy said seeing Trey nod as the man lay back. Billy stepped out of the room, shutting the door behind him. He took a deep breath, letting his eyes scan the somewhat darkened hallway. What he was about to do, if Trey knew, the man would kill him. Walking down the hallway he stopped in front of a door and knocked softly hoping he wasn’t interrupting anything.
“Come in,” A voice called from inside, and taking another breathe Billy stepped into the room, his eyes going to the bed. His eyes scanned Armand, seeing the man was still slightly sweaty, and then down to the still flushed redhead. Destin had a dopey look on his face, one that made Billy smile. “Hey Billy, what’d need?”
“Advice, and maybe some help.” Billy said watching as Destin shifted on Armand’s chest slightly to pat the bed beside them. Walking over Billy sat down, his eyes going between them again. “Did I interrupt something?”
“No, we were just cuddling.” Armand said.
“Oh, that post-orgasm cuddle?” Billy hearing Destin laugh slightly while Armand glared. “Sorry, anyways, this is about Trey. And just so you know, he’s gonna kill me when he finds out I talked to you’ll about this.”
“Oh?” Destin asked.
“Well, um…you see Trey came from a very violent relationship before we met.” Billy said seeing Destin and Armand shift, and knew they were both listening attentively now. “He’s a little wary of the actual act of sex, and I would so like to have at least one chance to make love to him.”
“So you and he…um have never done anything?” Destin asked looking up when he felt Armand shaking under him. He could see the man was trying hard not to laugh from the shock of why Billy was there.
“Well, no, Trey does like to suck.” Billy said grinning.
“I know that feeling,” Destin said hearing Armand clear his throat.
“Ok, Billy.” Armand started. “You play bottom.”
“Armand,” Destin said seeing Armand was looking at Billy.
“No luck at that either, the man just panics.” Billy said. “If I ever get my hands on the bastard who hurt him.”
“Ah yes, moving on.” Destin said grinning as he suddenly pulled away from Armand. Scooting over he grabbed his robe, pulling it on as he stood. Leaving the room, he came back a few minutes later carrying a box of strawberries. Armand raised an eyebrow to see the boy was chewing. They watched as the boy moved around the room, Billy raising an eyebrow at Armand.
“What is he doing?” Billy asked not sure that he even wanted to know.
“Haven’t a clue, but with him, I’d be scared.” Armand said grinning when Destin came back out. In his hand was a small box, which he held out to Billy.
“Give him a couple of those strawberries, and tie up his…um…” Destin glanced at Armand seeing the man was smiling.
“Ah sweets, you remember.” Armand said. “And would it be his erection?”
“Yeah,” Destin said blushing. “Give him a good rub down with this heating massage oil, and by then he should be…um” Destin looked to Armand for help again.
“Mewling like a bitch in heat?” Armand asked seeing Destin’s eyes widen.
“Armand, that’s crude.” Destin scolded his lover.
“It’s ok, I get the idea.” Billy said watching as Destin started to wiggle. He looked at Armand to see the man was smiling again.
“Did you eat some strawberries sweets?” Armand asked seeing Destin look down at the bed when the boy crawled back up onto the bed.
“A few,” Destin said.
“A few?” Armand asked seeing the boy fidget again.
“Four,” Destin whispered. “It’s just they were so good, and I just love strawberries….”
“Destin.” Armand said when the boy had trailed off. “Christ boy, four?”
“What’s in the strawberries?” Billy asked looking down at the package again, his eyes reading aphrodisiac across the label before looking up at Armand. He started to laugh he couldn’t help it. “Ok so he ate four, its not like its gonna hurt him.”
“It might me,” Armand muttered looking up when Destin straddled him suddenly. He watched as Destin pushed the blankets down slightly, and was glad the boy’s robe was still covering them.
“Armand,” Destin mewled shifting against the man, he heard Armand’s sharp intake of breath.
“Destin,” Armand
said slipping his arms around the boy to hold him still. He saw
Billy smile, and also noticed that
Billy hadn’t moved from the
bed. He groaned slightly as the boy shifted again, looking down as
Destin wrapped a hand around his own erection to stroke.
“Armand,” Destin said softly, leaning slightly until he could lick Armand’s exposed skin.
“Destin, Billy is still here,” Armand said seeing the boy look up at him with passion glazed eyes before he glance at Billy who was smiling.
“Well fine, either invite him to join us, or tell him to go away.” Destin said moving to kiss along Armand’s neck. He missed the surprised look on both the men’s faces.
“I’ll go, as soon as I get to see this tattoo that I’ve heard so much about.” Billy said seeing Destin look at him again. Destin’s eyes had darkened to a color that Billy couldn’t even name. Destin grinned, shifting again as he pulled his robe, exposing the left side of his butt.
Billy grinned, letting his eyes scan the pale skin he could see. There on the boy’s left butt cheek, or more above the left butt cheek was Armand’s signed name. He smiled, reaching out to touch it.
“Hey,” Armand said slapping his hand away.
“What? I only wanted to cop a little feel.” Billy said grinning. He heard Destin frustrated growl as the boy shifted again. Getting up he headed from the room, glancing back in time to see Destin pretty much jump the man. Armand moaned, his hands grabbing the boy’s hips.
Billy grinned again. Shaking his head as he walked back to his room. Entering he saw Trey look up, then raise an eyebrow at the box in his hand. “That doesn’t look like water.”
“Well Trey, to be honest,” Billy said walking over to the bed to sit down. “I didn’t go for water, I went to talk to Armand and Destin.”
“You what?” Trey asked sitting up a little straighter in the bed.
“I asked them for some help,” Billy asked showing Trey the box of strawberries. “I mean Destin ate a couple of these, and he was jumping Armand while I was still there.”
“Oh come on,” Trey said. “I still can’t believe that Destin allows someone like Armand to um…”
“Well he does.” Billy said grinning as he grabbed Trey’s arm. “Pull your pants on and come on.”
“Why?” Trey asked with a small sigh as he pulled on his pants. He was quiet as Billy pulled him from the room, leading him down the hallway. He glanced around again, before nodding towards a doorway that was slightly ajar. Billy nudged it a little more seeing Trey glance at him then into the room. “Holy….”
Billy grinned, reaching up to cover Trey’s mouth with his hand. He looked, his eyes widening slightly. Armand was sitting up, Destin was still straddling the man, but Destin was arched back until the boy’s head was literally on the bed. And then Armand was holding onto the boy’s hips.
“How the hell does he bend like that?” Billy asked quietly hearing Trey mumble something behind his hand.
“Armand,” Destin moaned as the boy pulled himself back up with an unbelievable amount of grace. His arms wrapped around Armand’s neck as he started to move up and down hard. Armand groaned, his hands moving to push the boy’s robe down slightly. His mouth moved to Destin’s neck, sucking along the boy’s soft skin.
Destin moaned the man’s name again, looking up as Armand shifted pulling out to turn Destin’s back to him. The robe hit the floor, before Destin howled as Armand pushed back up into him.
“God Armand, harder.” Destin hissed reaching back to grab the man’s head. Armand complied smiling as he heard Destin’s howl with each thrust.
Billy looked down at Trey, whose eyes were wide. Glancing back he was still having a hard time believing that Destin was as wild as he was in bed. He knew that Destin was demanding, but hadn’t realized it was like that. He also knew that Trey, while he wouldn’t admit it, but was turned on by what they were watching.
“What the ‘ell are you doing?” Lincoln asked when he and Allan stopped beside them. Glancing into the room, the boy’s eyes widened and suddenly Allan’s hand was over his mouth.
“Damn,” Allan hissed low seeing Billy’s head bob in agreement. He smiled watching, knowing that if Armand knew they were watching there would be all sorts of hell to pay. But he had to admit that Armand had a pretty nice ass. And he cringed slightly as the man thrust hard into the boy, and Destin would howl.
“Armand, god Armand faster.” Destin groaned moving against his lover as hard as he could. He leaned his head back to rest it onto Armand’s shoulder.
“Destin,” Armand hissed his hands tightening on the boy’s hips to pull him back harder and faster. Destin shifted, bracing his hands against the headboard as he started to rock against Armand. “God Destin, aahhhh.”
Armand shifted again, pulling out of the boy to once again pull Destin into his lap. He pushed up into the boy’s heat again, as Destin wrapped his arms around Armand’s neck. Leaning slightly Destin licked at the sweat that ran down Armand’s shoulder before laying his head against the shoulder.
The four men watching froze when Destin’s eyes lit on them, and they saw the silver green orbs widen in surprise. Destin sat up slightly, a grin crossing his face as he waved slightly at them. “We have an audience, my angel.”
“Yeah?” Armand asked shifting to pull Destin’s legs up. He grinned before capturing the boy’s lips and rolled him back, pinning Destin under him as he thrust hard. Destin cried out, arching back as Armand pulled one leg up onto his shoulder.
“Armand!” Destin cried out as Armand’s hand wrapped around his erection to stroke him hard. Destin didn’t last much longer, and suddenly he arched back and let out another cry as he came.
“God Destin.” Armand said moaning as the boy tightened around him. He cried out his orgasm as he continued to push into the boy’s soft willing body.
“Oh my god,” Lincoln whispered pulling Allan’s hand away. He hand known when Destin had told him that Armand was able to make him scream, but not only hearing but seeing it to had strange effects on him. With little thought he grabbed Allan’s hand and pulled the startled man back towards their room.
“I love you,” Armand whispered kissing the sweaty flushed boy under him.
“I love you too,” Destin said wrapping his arms around Armand’s neck. Armand grinned before looking towards the doorway.
“Since your there, you could at least say hello.” Armand said hearing Destin laugh.
“Um hi, and bye.” Billy said grinning as he grabbed Trey’s arm and led the boy away from the doorway.
“Well that was interesting,” Armand said shifting off Destin. He watched as the boy scooted from the bed, stretching and then picked up his robe. “Destin?”
“I’m starving, after that workout.” Destin grinned as he headed into the bathroom. A few minutes later he came back out grinning at Armand as he crossed the room shutting the door behind him. Destin took a deep breath, not sure what he should think of being watched. But it was too late to worry about it now.
With a sigh he head down towards the kitchen. He saw Angie, Adam, Allen, Roxanne, Margaret and Gates sitting at the table. He smiled as he walked towards the refrigerator, pulling it open to get something out. Shutting the fridge he turned back to the group, seeing they were watching him. “What?”
“You got a dopey look on your face.” Adam said seeing Destin grin slightly.
“I got a reason for this dopey look too,” Destin said walking over to the counter he set the water bottle down and smiled again.
“And what is that reason?” Angelica asked seeing Destin look at her. Before the boy could answer, Armand came into the kitchen seeing the people look at him.
“What?” Armand asked.
“They want to know why I have a dopey look on my face.” Destin replied grinning.
“Because you’re well exercised?” Armand said grinning at him. Destin laughed, grabbing an apple and his water and grinning at Armand left the kitchen. Armand followed grinning at the night that was ahead of him. He raised an eyebrow as Destin walked past their room. “Destin?”
“I want to see if Billy and Trey are making any progress,” Destin replied taking a bite of his apple.
“Destin.” Armand said shaking his head.
“Fair is fair Armand, they watched us.” Destin grinned moving towards the door.
“Billy,” Trey whispered softly. He was flushed and quite impatiently watching Billy, tie the tie around his erection. Billy looked up, a smile found the man’s face. Reaching out he picked up the oil and poured some of it onto Trey’s stomach. Reaching out he spread it around, his hands moving slowly over his lover’s body.
“I love you,” Billy whispered seeing Trey smile at him. Trey fell back onto the bed, his mind still numb from what he had witnessed. He really hadn’t believed that those two went at it like that, but now that he had seen it, he couldn’t help but feel excitement.
“Billy!” Trey moaned, as one of Billy’s fingers found its way into his body. He closed his eyes, his legs spreading more to give his lover better access. Another soft moan escaped him when Billy pushed another finger into him, and he tilted his head back.
Billy smiled, watching Trey as the man started to make the most amazing noise. It was a cross between a moan, cry and plea. Leaning slightly he took Trey’s erection into his mouth sucking slightly. Trey cried out, arching up against Billy as he felt desire exploded through him.
“Billy, Billy I can’t wait, please.” Trey said reaching out to claw at one of Billy’s arms. Billy grinned, moving up his lover’s body until he could capture Trey’s mouth under his. They moaned together, Trey moving to pull his legs up. Billy pulled back, looking at the man under him. Trey’s eyes were a stormy grey, and he didn’t see the normal fear in them.
With a soft smile, Billy pushed the tip of his erection against Trey’s opening. He slowly pushed, stopping when the tip was inside. Trey moaned, urging Billy to push deeper into him. Billy stopped as soon as he was buried all the way into his lover’s body. He felt Trey’s legs tighten around his waist, another loud moan escaping him when Billy started a slow rhythm.
“Oh god Billy,” Trey hissed letting his arms tighten on his lover’s arm. “Billy faster!”
“Trey,” Billy moaned out, as his thrust became faster. Trey tilted his head back, his eyes rolling back into his head as he cried out. Billy moved, reaching down to pull the tie from his lover’s hardness. Trey cried out again, his hands tightening on Billy’s shoulders as he came. Billy cried out as Trey tightened around him, another few thrust and Billy released into his lover.
“Wow,” Trey said sounding slightly awed.
“Yeah,” Billy said pulling his lover close. He closed his eyes a smile coming to his face. “I’m glad I could give you that.”
“Yeah,” Trey said snuggling into his lover’s side.
Armand looked at Destin, seeing the boy eyes were wide. And he had a huge smile on his face. Shaking his head he turned and grabbing Destin’s arm led the boy back towards their room.
“Are you happy now?” Armand asked seeing Destin grin at him.
“Yes,” Destin grinned crawling into the bed. He watched as Armand pulled off his pants and joined him. Once the man had laid down Destin cuddled in. In minutes the boy was asleep, Armand smiled as he pulled Destin closer. His mouth leaning down to drop a kiss to Destin’s head before letting sleep also claim him.
“Why are we here?” Val asked his lawyer. He watched as the man looked over at him and shrugged slightly.
“I haven’t a clue, except the district attorney asked for this meeting.” The man said looking up as Allen Preston entered the room. They watched as he sat down, his eyes on Val.
“Good morning, Mr. Demarco.” Allen said seeing the man just grunt.
“So why are you here?” Val’s lawyer asked.
“I’m still hoping to make a deal.” Allen said hearing Val laugh softly before pale cold blue eyes meet his.
“A deal? You won’t even tell me if the little bastard is dead.” Val hissed.
“Val,” His lawyer scolded.
“What David? They won’t tell me, is he dead or isn’t he?” Val asked looking between them. David didn’t say anything, not having seen the boy since he left the hospital.
“Close enough,” Allen said seeing Val look at him. “So you plead guilty to assault, attempted murder, and stalking. And well do seven to ten.”
“No,” Val said leaning back. “I’d rather go to trial.”
“David?” Allen asked seeing the man shake his head. He knew there was no getting Val to deal; in his head he hadn’t done anything. “Fine, then we’ll see you in court.”
“Yah for me,” Val muttered as the man left. Allen shook his head as he left the room, his eyes scanning the area. Val didn’t need to know that Destin would take the stand, and he would make sure that David found out later. At least the weekend had proved fruitful.
Destin looked up when Edward walked into the room. He watched as his father crossed the room to set a box onto the table. He raised an eyebrow when Edward looked at him expectantly.
“Hóigh, conas tá ti?” Edward said seeing Destin look at him even funnier.
“Come again?” Destin asked seeing his father smile at him.
“As your father, I have decided you need to learn some family history.” Edward replied, seeing Destin nod slightly.
“Ok, why?” Destin asked, seeing Edward pull out a few things.
“Because my grandparents, and father taught me, and its something you need to know.” Edward said sitting down. He smiled at his son. “Athair, father.”
“Athair,” Destin repeated a small smile touched his lips. “That’s cool, what’s lover?”
“Ah right on to those huh?” Edward asked seeing Destin blush slightly as he shrugged. “Leannán.”
“Leannán.” Destin said grinning. He looked at what Edward placed in front of him. “Hey if your last name is page, that’s not really Irish is it?”
“No, not really.” Edward replied. “My grandfather is pure Irish, he was adopted by English parents. But when he grew old enough he returned to Ireland, where he met my grandmother and they got married.”
“Oh, so your father was full Irish?” Destin asked seeing Edward nod.
“And my mother, was half Irish, half English.” Edward replied.
“Oh,” Destin said grinning.
“Tá grá agam duit,” Edward said seeing Destin look at him again. “Mo mac.”
“And that was?” Destin asked.
“I love you, my son.” Edward said seeing Destin grin and blush slightly.
“I love you too, dad.” Destin said quietly. “What is my angel?”
“Mo Aingeal.” Edward said seeing Destin repeat this, he smiled at the boy as he started to pull more out of the box. He had found it on a recent visit to his grandparent’s house. He showed Destin all of the things he found, even some pictures from a distant relative that still lived in Ireland.
“Hey diner,” Armand said from the doorway. He watched as Edward smiled and looked at Destin. He nodded to the boy seeing Armand look between them.
“Tá grá agam duit, mo aingeal.” Destin said as he got up and walked over to Armand. With a smile he walked past the man on his way towards the kitchen.
“What was that?” Armand asked seeing Edward smile as he followed his son. Armand shook his head, before turning to follow after them. Dinner was a quiet event, Destin looked tired, and Edward left right after the meal because he had to be to work.
“Destin?” Armand asked seeing the boy look at him from where he was lay across the bed.
“Yeah?” Destin asked smiling at him as Armand moved towards him.
“What did you say earlier?” Armand asked.
“Tá sibh mo domhan, tá sibh mo aingeal, tá sibh an grá de mo saol, Tá grá agam duit.” Destin said watching as Armand crawled onto the bed with him. Armand lay down to rest his head against Destin stomach, with his body between the boy’s legs. “You are my world, you are my angel, you are the love of my life, I love you.”
“I love you too, god, you’re so sweet.” Armand said nuzzling the boy’s stomach. Destin laughed slightly, reaching out to let his hands run though Armand’s hair.
“You need a hair cut, my angel.” Destin said softly.
“Yeah, so do you.” Armand said slowly closing his eyes. He needed to sleep, tomorrow was the first day he took the stand, and he wasn’t looking forward to it.
Allen stood before the judge, his eyes looking at the older man. He knew that Val’s lawyer was not happy about the next witness they were about to call, but honestly he didn’t give a shit. It had been almost a month since the trial had started, and it was going ok.
“Call your next witness, Counselor.” The judge said as Allen nodded.
“I call Destin Edward Rarry to the stand.” Allen said seeing Val look startled. He looked behind watching as the doors opened and Destin walked in. His eyes shot to his lawyer as he leaned over.
“He doesn’t look dead to me, or even close to being dead.” Val hissed, before turning his attention back to the boy. He watched as Destin walked up to the stand, to stand there his eyes on Allen.
“You’ve already been sworn in, please have a seat.” The judge said. Destin nodded, before sitting down his eyes on Allen still.
“Please state your name for the record.” Allen said.
“Destin Edward Rarry,” Destin said seeing Allen smile slightly.
“Mr. Rarry, tell me do you see the man who attacked you in this room?” Allen asked seeing Destin watch him for a minute, before the boy nodded and turned his attention to Val.
“Yes I do,” Destin replied, his voice soft. He tried to keep his mind on what he was doing. But looking at Val it brought back all the feelings and fears.
“Can you point him out?” Allen asked seeing Destin raise his hand to point to Val. “Please note, witness is pointing to the defendant.”
“Noted,” The judge replied.
“Destin, tell me, when was the first time you met the defendant Val Demarco?” Allen asked.
“When I accompanied Armand on a cruise.” Destin said seeing Allen nod.
“And during said cruise, was there anytime where the defendant approached you?” Allen asked.
“Several times, um, the first was before we even set sail, I was with Armand at the time though.” Destin said, his eyes glancing to Val. The man had changed in jail somewhat. First off, Val’s hair wasn’t as long as it had been, and the man looked different without makeup.
“Any times when the defended approached you when you were alone?” Allen asked.
“Yes, the first time when Armand was talking with people, and I had wondered out to the deck and railing to look at the sea.” Destin said.
“Did he threaten you at this time?” Allen asked walking in front of the witness stand.
“No, he voiced concerns for me, that um…” Destin trailed off, his eyes going from Allen to Val again. He saw the man smirk.
“Please go on.” Allen said.
“He said that Armand possessed me, and that he looked at me as a possession to be used, and discarded at his will.” Destin said.
“Objection,” David said standing. “Val was voicing concern, considering he had first hand experience of how Armand treated his lovers.”
“Sustained,” The judge said. “Continue counselor.”
“All right Destin, was there ever a time that Val threatened you with violence?” Allen asked Destin.
“Not during the cruise,” Destin replied.
“But when you came back home, he did?” Allen asked.
“No, Val never threatened to hurt me, prior to the first attack.” Destin said seeing David glance at Val.
“The first attack?” Allen questioned, knowing this was going to be hard for Destin.
“Yes, he cornered me in the bathroom of Allan Bates office building. Where he tried to rape me.” Destin said. He could see David wanted to object.
“Please, tell us what happened.” Allen said seeing Destin look at him.
“Ok,” Destin said wring his hands together. “Um, it was just after work, when I went to use the bathroom. I looked over to see Val standing there, I told him I didn’t have time to listen to him complain about broken relationship. That’s when he proceeded to slam me into the wall and told me that when he was done Armand wouldn’t want me because I would be damaged goods.”
“And what did you do?” Allen asked.
“I yelled for help, and he throw me to the ground. Where he proceeded to punch me, and bash my head against the floor, until I was quiet.”
“Ok, then what happened?” Allen asked seeing Destin look down at his hands.
“Val pulled my pants off,” Destin stopped his voice becoming low and harsh. Tears formed in his eyes, and he swallowed.
“Destin?” Allen asked.
“He held me down, and asked me if I knew how painful it would be when he violated me.” Destin whispered tears slipping down his cheeks.
“And did he?” Allen asked seeing Destin look at him.
“He um…he stuck his fingers…” Destin trailed off.
“He stuck his fingers where?” Allen asked, he hated to put the boy through this again.
“He stuck two of his fingers into my anus.” Destin said the last part he almost choked on. The tears fell freely now, and his mind had gone somewhat numb. “I screamed, I remember wishing he’d leave me alone, and that Armand was there to help me.”
“Ok, what happened next?” Allen asked.
“I don’t remember much, except Michael was there, and then I was at the hospital.” Destin replied. “The doctor checked me over, gave me something’s for the pain and sent me home.”
“And then what?” Allen asked.
“I don’t remember much, except that Armand, was there holding me. And it was like waking up from a bad dream.” Destin said softly.
“Ok, what happened next?” Allen said.
“Armand made me place a restraining order against Val,” Destin looked up, seeing Armand in the back.
“And this helped?” Allen asked pulling out the restraining order.
“No, I mean it didn’t matter at first, it was almost two weeks before I could bring myself to leave the house.” Destin replied. “And then it didn’t help, Val continued to harass me, and follow me around.”
“Did he approach you?” Allen asked.
“Yes, on several occasions.” Destin whispered knowing that Armand wasn’t going to be happy. “When I was at school, and a few times when I was shopping, whenever Michael wasn’t close.”
“And did he threaten you during these times?” Allen asked.
“No, he just told me that he was going to take Armand away from me.”
“Ok,” Allen replied. “And the next time Val attacked you what when?”
“Sometime in early June, the sixth I think.” Destin said. “I had returned from school, and was sitting out back on the patio when I saw him.
“And what happened then?” Allen asked.
“I told Val to leave, that Margaret and Armand, were due back any minutes.” Destin said. “When I tired to go back into the house he pushed my face into the side of the house on the brick.”
“Let it be shown, pictures that were taken of Destin’s face when he was admitted to the hospital.” Allen said seeing the judge nod as he let Allen show the pictures to the jury.
“The next several minutes are kind of blurry. I remember being knocked to the ground, where he hit and punched me.” Destin said, again Allen showed pictures of when Destin was admitted to the hospital. “My dog…”
Destin trailed off, tears returning to his eyes as he thought of his beloved pet. “Destin?”
“Dog, he tired to protect me, and Val stabbed him in the side and killed him.” Destin let out a sob. Trying to hold back the tears. “The next thing I knew, I tried to go to Dog, and Val grabbed me by the hair, and pulled me up to the pool. He tossed me in, and then tried to hold me under. That’s the last thing I remember. Until I woke up at the hospital.”
“Ok,” Allen said. “And what do you remember when you woke up at the hospital?”
“Um, that Armand was talking to me, and the overwhelming smell of roses.” Destin said a small sad smile touching his mouth. “Armand was saying he was sorry that this happened, and that something about heaven and nature. I don’t remember it all I was in and out. But then he told me he loved me.”
“THAT’S A DAMN LIE!!” Val hissed shooting out of his chair.
“Contain your client Mr. Gardener.” The judge snapped. “Or I’ll him removed from the courtroom.”
“Val,” David hissed reaching up to pull the man back down. Val sat back down, his eyes blazing at the boy. He had seen the huge diamond ring on the boy’s hand.
“Please continue.” The judge said.
“Ok,” Destin replied in a small voice. “Um, as I said, I don’t remember much, I asked Armand to kiss me, then just voices that seemed to be far away. Armand’s mostly about not leavening him, and please don’t die. And then crying.”
“I’d like to submit the doctors report, that on that day, Destin went into cardiac arrest. Where doctors were able to get him back after several minutes.” Allen said handing the report to the bailiff who took it to the judge. The man looked at it, nodded and sent it on to the jurors. “Ok, Destin what else do you remember?”
“Bits and pieces really, Armand took me home. Days faded together, until I slowly seemed to wake up from the nightmare that had become my life.” Destin replied.
“And now, how do you feel?” Allen asked seeing the boy look down.
“Um…now I feel ok, I get tired still, from the damage done to my lungs. And I have trouble leaving the house, unless I’m with Armand or someone close.” Destin replied.
“And you’re seeing a psychiatrist?” Allen asked seeing the boy nod.
“I am, to help me deal with what happened. To make, hopefully, the nightmare to stop one day.” Destin said.
“Are you still angry at Mr. Demarco?” Allen asked seeing Destin look at him.
“Not really, not anymore,” Destin said looking at Val. “Disappointed mostly.”
“Thank you, I have no further question for this witness.” Allen said going to sit back down. Destin looked at Val’s lawyer as he stood.
“Hello Destin,” David said smiling politely at the boy. He saw Destin nod. “So tell me, before meeting Armand, and moving into his mansion, where did you live?”
“Objection” Allen said standing. “The boy’s living arrangements have nothing to do with this case.”
“Your honor, I am trying to establish why this man went to such lengths against my client.” David said.
“Overruled, please answer the question.” The judge said. Destin looked at him for second before turning back to David.
“The streets.” Destin said quietly.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t hear, please repeat the answer.” David asked seeing the red that spread out on Destin’s cheeks.
“The streets,” Destin said louder, he looked up meeting David’s eyes.
“And its true, that Armand picked up from an alley, where he purposed that in exchange for sex, he would house you, clothe you and feed you?” David asked, knowing that Allen would want to object, but the man really couldn’t. They were valid questions.
“Yes it is,” Destin replied, seeing Val grin at him.
“So in fact, you sold yourself to him?” David asked.
“Objection your honor,” Allen hissed. “No money ever exchanged hands. So regardless of what arrangements were made, Destin did not sell himself.”
“Sustained, move on counselor.” The judge said. David nodded, with his smile he turned back to Destin.
“Is it true, after meeting Mr. Demarco, you flaunted your relationship with Armand in front of him?” He asked.
“No, I never acted any different then I normally do around Armand.” Destin hissed.
“Was it nice, not having to worry about where you’d sleep, or where your next meal would come from?” David asked seeing Destin glare at him.
“Of course it was.” Destin said.
“And its true, should Armand leave you, that you would be back on the streets with no means to support yourself?” David asked he saw the boy smile.
“No it’s not true, should my relationship with Armand cease, I could support myself quite well.” Destin said.
“With whatever money Armand gave you?” David asked.
“No, I own my own company, and it’s doing quite well.” Destin replied seeing Val’s eyes narrow at him.
“True, but considering that came to you while you were with Armand, doesn’t he control all money coming into or out of the business?” David asked.
“No, Destiny landscaping as well as the building it’s housed in is in my name. Armand has no legal standings in either one.” Destin replied. “As well as the bank account that is in my name, again Armand has no legal ties to it.”
“Oh,” David said. “But it’s true, that you were afraid that Mr. Demarco may pose a threat to your relationship with Armand? So in fact you staged the stalking and attack at the house?”
“No I did not, and no I never believed that Val posed a threat to my relationship with Armand.” Destin said. “In fact I see Val as a lost confused person. He came into my home, and attacked me.”
“IT’S NOT YOUR HOME, IT WILL NEVER BEEN YOUR HOME.” Val hissed seeing the judge glare at him.
“Sit down Mr. Demarco, or I’ll have you removed.” He said as Val sat back down. Destin looked at him, seeing for the first time the man from the picture. Lost and scared and hurt. He watched as tears slipped down Val’s cheeks, and realized that Armand was probably the only person to treat Val with some sort of respect.
“I have no more question for this witness.” David said.
“You may be excused.” The judge told Destin. Destin nodded, getting up to leave the courtroom. He was tired and wanted to go home, but wasn’t sure what was going to happen next. Walking out he saw Armand was standing there waiting for him.
“You ok sweets?” Armand asked pulling the boy into his arms.
“Yeah, I am.” Destin said. “Your not mad are you?”
“That you lied to me about Val?” Armand asked pulling back slightly. Destin nodded his head, seeing Armand smile at him slightly.
“Not really, I just wished you would have trusted me.” Armand said looking up when the bailiff called him in. Pulling away he saw Angelica and Adam go sit in the back of the courtroom with Destin.
Armand walked up to the stand, he listened to the judge before sitting down and waited for Allen to start. “Armand, how long have you known the defendant?”
“Just over three years.” Armand answered.
“And you at one time had a relationship with him?” Allen asked.
“Yes I did.” Armand answered, he refused to look at Val. He was still so angry with the man; it took all his will not to strangle him.
“And how would you describe that relationship?” Allen asked.
“At first, when we dated it was fine. But after Val moved in, it went down hill. All he did was spend my money and sleep around.” Armand said.
“Objection.” David said.
“Sustained, move on counselor.” The judge said. Allen nodded, before tuning back to Armand.
“When your relationship with the defendant ended, what happened?” Allen asked.
“I told Val that I had enough of his unfaithfulness, and that he should leave. He took what he could, I gave him a check for five thousand and he left.” Armand said.
“And when did you see him again?” Allen asked.
“The cruise, which Destin and I went on.” Armand said. “And it was then that I noticed that Val spent a lot of his time trailing after Destin.”
“And that bothered you?” Allen asked.
“Of course it did, I also asked Destin if he was being bothered by Val.” Armand said. “Which he told me he wasn’t that Val was only trying to scare him.”
“Ok, and after the cruise, when was the next time you saw Val?” Allen asked.
“After he attacked and tried to rape Destin.” Armand said not telling that he had tracked the man down. “It was after that I insisted that Destin either file assault charges or a restraining order against him.”
“And he had the restraining order against the defendant right?” Allen asked.
“Yes, but it was weeks later until Destin would even leave the house.” Armand said. “And even then I knew Val was stalking him, but Detective Born told me that I couldn’t do anything until Val either attacked him again, or Destin made a complaint.”
“And Destin wouldn’t place a complaint?” Allen asked.
“Destin was scared, and no he did not.” Armand said. “I tried to talk to him, but it just put a strain on our relationship, and I knew he was having trouble in school because of it too.”
“Tell me about when Edward, Destin father arrived.” Allen said.
“Um, it was a week before our anniversary, and the day the man arrived, I came home to find Destin and Val in the pool together, I could see at first that Destin was in trouble. I pulled Val out, and then dived in to pull Destin out also.” Armand said.
“And upon getting the boy out, what did you find?” Allen asked.
“That Destin wasn’t breathing, and he had a very low pulse.” Armand said. “Adam and I started CPR while Margaret went to call 911.”
“Once the paramedics arrived what did you do?” Allen asked. Armand dropped his eyes.
“I went into a rage, I attacked Val, and I was still having trouble with the fact that he would hurt the boy.” Armand said. “And it took Adam and Michael to pull me off, and that’s when I saw Destin’s Dog laying in a puddle of blood.”
“And then what happened?” Allen asked.
“I was told the dog was dead, and then heard Destin coughing up water. I returned to my lover’s side, where I went with in the ambulance.” Armand said his voice tight and steady.
“What happened during the ride there?” Allen asked.
“Destin once again stopped breathing, and for a minute they lost his pulse.” Armand said. “At the hospital they got him stable, and then we waited for a week.”
“Alright, and after a week what did the doctor tell you?” Allen asked.
“That Destin was almost brain dead, and he had almost no chance of waking up.” Armand said unable to stop the tear that slipped from his eye. “I was numb, I know I returned home where I proceeded to cut every rose that bloomed in Destin’s garden, because I wasn’t going to let the boy die without smelling his rose one more time.”
“Ok, and after returning to the hospital?” Allen asked.
“I covered him in the roses, and told him I loved him. He woke up, I thought I was dreaming, but he was really there. He asked me to kiss him one last time, and when I did he went limp as his heart stopped.” Armand said as more tears slipped from his eyes. “I remember pleading with him not to leave me.”
“Ok.” Allen said.
“They got him back, but it was like he was broken. He didn’t speak, and he barely ate. He was slowly wasting away and I was helpless to stop it.” Armand said. “It was almost a month later when Destin came out of it. It was like he woke up from a dream, except he realized that it wasn’t.”
“And you suggested he see a psychiatrist?” Allen asked.
“Yes, when I realized that Destin wasn’t dealing very well, and I couldn’t help him.” Armand replied.
“And now? How are things going?” Allen asked.
“It’s still tough, Destin is working through a lot of stuff. We still have our times, when panic overcomes him. But it’s getting better.” Armand replied grinning.
“Thank you, I have no more question.” Allen said seeing David stand.
“Mr. Riesel, is it true that after this alleged attempted rape of Destin, you attacked my client at a bar? Ripping his forefinger and middle finger nails off?” David asked. Armand glared at him.
“Yes it is, he had no right to touch Destin.” Armand said.
“So in fact, you were just protecting what’s yours?” David asked.
“Yes.” Armand said glaring again.
“And it’s true, that your name is tattoo onto the boy’s butt?” David asked.
“Objection.” Allen said. “What does a tattoo that Destin has, have to do with this case?”
“I’m also wondering that?” The judge asked.
“Your honor, I am trying to show the jury that Armand treats his lovers as possessions and object. That Val was exposed to this also. Making it so that he believed that Armand was betraying him.” David replied.
“Sustained, answer the question.” The judge said.
“Yes, my name is tattoo on Destin’s butt, but it wasn’t me who had it done. Destin did.” Armand replied. “And for the record, Val left me, not the other way around.”
“Do you believe you own Destin Rarry?” David asked.
“No, I believe he is my lover, and my fiancée.” Armand said he saw Val’s eyes widen, and the man’s jaw drop.
“Fiancée?” David asked.
“Yes, I asked him to marry me.” Armand said. David just nodded slightly. He had been thrown about that, he had heard that Armand never became all that attached to his lovers.
“I have no more questions your honor.” David said as they excused Armand from the stand. Armand made his way from the courtroom, grabbing Destin’s hand on the way to escort the boy out.
Destin sat on the front porch of the mansion. He hadn’t stayed for the rest of the trail, because it had been hard on him as it was. He looked up when he saw a car in the driveway; he also saw that Michael stood, his eyes also on the car. Destin watched as the boy got out, looking up at him, before slowly approaching him. He stopped at the bottom of the steps.
“I don’t know if you remember me or not.” The boy said.
“Not really,” Destin said looking at the shorter brown haired boy. He watched as the boy started up the stairs.
“I’m Benny, from the cruise.” They boy said sitting down a few feet from Destin. “I know that you most likely don’t want to hear this, and all, but I didn’t know who else to go to.”
“All right,” Destin replied.
“I met Val on that cruise, Van introduced us.” Benny said seeing the other man on the porch move closer. “Don’t worry, I’m not here to cause harm, I just want to talk.”
“It’s ok Michael.” Destin said.
“Thanks,” Benny said. “Um, you probably don’t believe me, but Val’s not a bad guy. Insanely jealous yes, and sometimes he thinks before he acts.”
“I do believe you, he’s hurting and he’s lost.” Destin said seeing Benny look surprised. “It took me a long time, to put behind me what he did.”
“I know,” Benny said nodding. “It’s just I love Val so much, and I know he should be punished for what he did to you, but…but he was so jealous of what you had with Armand, how the man protected you. And Donovan just kept passing him around, and telling him, its ok Val just spread your legs.”
Destin nodded, not sure what to say to that.
“Val use to tell me, when we’d lay in bed together, that he wanted to design clothing. I tried to encourage him, but Donovan would laugh and tell him that he was only good for one thing.” Benny said softly. “I hated it, and after Donovan and Val fought, and Donovan kicked Val out, it didn’t take long for me to go to.”
“Donovan left you too?” Destin asked seeing the boy shrug.
“I didn’t love Donovan, I loved Val. But Val had become obsessed with you and Armand. Telling me he wanted that type of relationship, and I would have given it to him.” Benny said.
“If only he could see.” Destin said seeing the boy nod as he wiped a tear away.
“I just wanted you to know, that at first, when we got back. Val was happy, and he was a totally different person. And I think with help he could be again.” Benny said, looking up when a limo pulled to a stop. Destin nodded, watching as Benny stood. The boy left, keeping a distance from Armand who walked up to stop next to Destin.
“Was that the boy from the cruise?” Armand asked watching the car pull away.
“Yeah,” Destin replied seeing Armand glare at him. Shaking his head he walked back into the house with Armand following him.
“Are you nuts?” Armand asked.
“Why? Michael was right there. Besides he came to plead Val’s case, not to hurt me.” Destin said hearing Armand grunt. Destin just shook his head.
Over the next several days, they had a parade of witness. Destin only made a few appearances, but was rather that he was kept informed from Allen. But he did attend when the jury had founds it verdict after only two hours of deliberations.
“Would the defendant please rise?” The judge said as Val stood. He looked over at the jury, as he nodded.
“We the jury, on the count of stalking, find the defendant, Valentine Demarco, guilty. On the count of assault, we find the defendant guilty, and on the account of Attempted murder, guilty.” The man read.
“Thank you for your time, the jury may be excused.” The judge said. “The sentencing hearing with be in one week.”
With that the judge smacked his gavel on his bench. The bailiff came and took Val away, and Destin stood, not sure what to feel now that it was almost over. He left with Armand, who seemed relieved with the outcome. Yet he couldn’t seem to put the conversation with Benny from his mind.
“Sweets?” Armand asked seeing the boy look up.
“Yeah?” Destin asked.
“Are you ok, love?” Armand asked worried at how quiet the boy had become.
“I’m fine, glad it’s it over.” Destin said getting up to head to bed. Armand followed, still worried about his lover. As they cuddled in bed that night, Armand found he couldn’t sleep. But instead all he could see was Destin face as the verdict was read. The boy almost seemed sad about it.
“You want to what?” Armand yelled. He didn’t hear what he just thought he heard, because there was no way Destin would even suggest that.
“Armand calm down.” Allen said. “Destin?”
“I want to speak at Val’s hearing trial, and ask them to give him some lenience.” Destin said. “I spent the week thinking about this, and this is what I want to do.”
“Are you sure?” Allen asked glaring at Armand.
“Yes.” Destin said seeing Allen nod.
“All right, that’s your right.” Allen said leading the way to the courtroom. The people there looked at them as they entered. Allen approached the judge. “You’re honor, before the sentencing, Destin Rarry would like to speak.”
“Alright.” The judge said as Destin approached the podium.
“Um…I believe that Val needs help. That the stress of his life is what drove him into harming me. I also believe that he is not a bad person, which given time to realize what he did, would see the error of his ways.” Destin said softly. “I would ask you to have lenience on him during this time. That with help, I think Val can become a contributing member of society. Thank you.”
Destin nodded, before he turned and walked from the room. He looked back to see Val looking at him with something close to confusion. After leaving the room, he stood waiting for Allen to tell him what the sentencing would be. It was a few minutes later when the man stopped out.
“They gave him five years.” Allen said.
“Can I talk to him?” Destin asked.
“That’s it, you’re going in to have your head checked.” Armand said.
“Armand please, I need to put an ending on this, something more then this.” Destin said seeing Allen even looking at him like he was crazy. “Please?”
“I thought we were done with this, why am I here?” Val asked sounding tired.
“Don’t know,” David said looking up as the door open. He was surprised when the redhead stepped through. He watched as Destin crossed over to sit a crossed from Val.
“What the hell do you want?” Val hissed.
“Just to say a few things, before you go.” Destin said. “First off, I want you to know that, for me and not you. That I forgive you for what you’ve done.”
“Oh how noble of you,” Val said hearing his lawyer shush him.
“Listen Val, life is too short and to unpredictable to be having things like this hanging over our head.” Destin said. “Val you’re not a bad person, you’re lost and scared, and don’t know what to do or who to turn to.”
“And you know all this.” Val said looking away from the boy.
“Val, I think that there is a hope you can turn your life around.” Destin said.
“Everyone’s left me, you have Armand.” Val said indicating Destin’s left hand.
“Not everyone Val, Benny still there for you, and he loves you.” Destin said reaching out with his right hand to touch Val. “He’s out there fighting for you.”
“He is?” Val asked looking down at Destin’s small hand on his. He couldn’t believe that, not after he was so mean to the boy. “I was so mean to him.”
“But he saw your pain Val, saw that you were hurting.” Destin said seeing a tear slip down the other man’s face. “He also saw a you that most people don’t Val.”
“Why did you stand up for me? After everything I’ve done to you?” Val asked looking up.
“As I said, lives to short. And honestly, I think given time, you’ll repent.” Destin said feeling Val cling to his hand. “Take it one day at a time, and remember that there are people out there who love you, and will give you the love you want.”
“Thank you.” Val said watching Destin stand, tears fell from his eyes freely, for the first time since his parents kicked him out, he didn’t mind showing weakness. Even in front of this person.
“You’re welcome,” Destin said reaching out to cup the man’s face. Leaning slightly he placed a kiss onto Val’s forehead before leaving the room. He saw Armand look at him, a sad smile on the man’s face. Wrapping his arm around Destin’s shoulders he escorted Destin from the courthouse.
“Armand,” Destin said letting his forehead rest against his lover’s chest. “I had to do it, I needed to forgive him for what he did. For me, not for him.”
“Well that’s fine, but why did you have to see him?” Armand asked.
“Because, as Lane said, I need to face my demons and put them to rest.” Destin said looking up. “And Val was my biggest demon. And facing him, it was what I had to do, for me, and us.”
“Us?” Armand asked.
“Us, because leaving it unfinished, it would eat at me, and in the long run, it would kill us and our relationship.” Destin said. “I love you too much to let something like this fester between us, and now that it’s done, and everything that needs to be said is said, I’m ready to move onto the next part of our lives together.”
“Good, I love you.” Armand said pulling his heaven a little closer to him.
“I love you too, my angel.” Destin said nuzzling Armand’s chest as he wrapped his arms around his angel. He smiled; he didn’t have to look any longer. He had found his angel, and he was happy with his place. “You are everything I ever wanted in a person to love Armand.”
“I spent all my life finding heaven,” Armand said quietly. “And I found it in you.”
