You don’t see           

Beyond your mask

You don’t see how mine is harder

You don’t see how much I’m affected

And you don’t seem to care

I don’t understand

How so many are so ignorant

Or why we all have to feel so

Numb-

Numb to the cold

Pain

Of the world.

You don’t see

Beyond this mask

You don’t see how much it hides

You don’t see how much I’m affected

And I’m beginning to believe you don’t care

I don’t understand

How you can have changed so much

Or why you ignore me sometimes more than

Others…

Others are like us too:

Numb to the cold

Pain

Of the world

You don’t see

Beyond the veil

That hides the mask

That hides the face

That hides the feeling

That hides the heart

That you don’t-

You just can’t- see

How much I’m affected

And you’re not the only one that doesn’t care

I don’t understand

How everyone just keeps on living

Or why no one stops to help each other because

We all know

That we all feel the same

Because others…

Others are like us too:

Numb to the cold

Pain

Of the world

That makes its way into my heart

Clawing

Biting

Hurting

That none of us see

Especially

Not the two of you

The only two

That I think

Can save me…

Well…that was…an interesting ride to say the least…didn’t know where I was going with that but I’m pretty happy with it…just hope that I don’t try to explain it to myself 0__o! Don’t think that’s a good sign for my sanity if I can’t understand my own poem but efh…whatever…
