Just a bitter echo.

An echo, of what has been.

Her eyes are swollen shut,

And sunken deep within.

Her memories disappear,

As her brain deteriorates.

Tears fall from her mourners,

As she is lowered in her place.

The gash into her heart,

Covered by a blue silk shirt.

Her arms rest at her sides,

As they shovel in the dirt.

She dug herself a hole,

In the ground and in their hearts.

In too much pain too realize,

Her death would tear everyone apart.

Her blood marked the walls,

Her parents grieved for life.

Her room was avoided,

The constant reminder, a knife.

Scars adorned her body,

Now sealed from the world.

She had died so young,

She was still a little girl.

Her parents never know,

The pain she had to live with.

They didn't realize so soon,

Would come her final kiss.

Her friends were so distraught,

Not used to someone dying.

The rain begain to pour,

As if the earth was crying.

Her boyfriend was torn to shreds,

He dropped onto his knees.

And whispered into the wind,

"Come back baby, Please."
