Silver Lining

perched on the windowsill

legs dangling down to

to the Ground, which is

a million miles

from Here

-or Anywhere, for that matter

if I put out a hand

I could touch the face of

the Moon

and gather the Stars in the palm of my hand

or take just one

and wear it in my hair

I think I’ll skate

along the crystalline wisps of Cloud

and the diamond blade on my heel

shall leave a Silver Lining

Atmosphere, sugar-sweet

cool and liquid-y and dusted black

whisk me in your winds across the

whole wide World

so I can see Everything

while Nothing sees me

and if I fall, I fall up to the Heaven which is somewhere between the Milky Way and the rest of my nightly black Sky
