Tears run down my cheeks
as I sit here and think
about all the times
that I spend alone
because no one knows
the pain I harbor deep inside
or the dreams that I hide.

No one knows the thoughts
I have lost inside my mind
Why can't I even seem to find
the words that can really bind
my feelings and emotions each
and every time that I try to be
alone deep within my own mind.

Why do I put up with this
day in and day out I hear
it all over and over again
words clashing around deep
inside my head causing me
to feel the impending dread
thinking of when I will be dead.

Tears run down my cheeks
as I sit here and think
about all the times
that I spend alone
because no one knows
the pain I harbor deep inside
or the dreams that I hide.
