I rose from my pillow,
My pillow of feathers and silk,
And put on my clothes,
Clothes of leathers and feathers and skin,
And walked out the door,
The door of the redwood.

I opened the door to my car,
My car of metals and animal killers,
And sat in the seat,
The seat made of leathers stuffed with feathers,
And grasped the wheel,
The wheel made of animal skin.

I was walking to the store,
The store that sold leathers,
And clutched my coat around me,
My coat of animals skin,
And rustled the wings at my back,
My wings of feathers.

I sit on my bed,
My bed of animal skin,
And fingered my wings,
My wings of feathers,
And I looked that the drawers,
The drawers holding leathers.

I pulled out a feather,
The white feather,
And threw it on the rug,
The rug of skin,
And ripped out more and threw them on the floor,
The floor made of leather.

Oh, the glorious coats,
The coats of leathers,
And the wings,
Wings of feathers,
And the rugs,
The rugs of animal skin!

I laid my head on my pillow,
My pillow of feathers and silk,
And pulled the blankets over me,
Blankets of skin,
And dreamt sick dreams,
Dreams of leathers and feathers and skin.
