nightblind and noisy with
fragile faded skin and mouths that never
stop. going. push on through the
sea between and down we go, dying
just to be close to what we think we need
just to fall apart in the end. i don't know
how to forgive you if you don't even
see what you did

gonna pull hard til it's
me on my knees, gonna fall down
to what you think i need? like the girl
said; if I give in, does that make me WHITE
or does that make me INDIAN and you're so
sickeningly pale, even with -my- brown skin, i
can see through you

i've never called anybody a sell-out before
in my life, but i'm calling you now and you
won't answer. you've got nothing to say
to what you've created. complain i made
a mess, but you made me. you made me.

don't expect any revolutions
to come from your hands.

'cause all the words in the world don't
sink through. i don't know how to tell you.
it isn't about you. i'm not about you.
this is a story about -me-.
