Prologue
Many millenia ago, a virus came to be. It killed. The virus took life with no remorse. It gave its victim immense pain and bleeding until the point of death. In this land, the Death Syn killed innocents just by being inhaled. Some died within a couple of days, and some died even within a few hours. Many bodies were burned, in hopes of destroying the virus, but it continued to cause fear and death. All people and animals wondered who would die next, or if these were their final moments. Whether or not they were going to die that day, they cherished every second of their lives. People would pray and beg for their lives to their beloved God, but all it brought was more death.
Why, people thought. Why must we suffer so?
It killed millions within a few days, and just when the human race was on the brink of destruction, the virus vanished.

Location: A Cave in the Outskirts of Asonhall, 5000 years after the Death Syn ended
A mighty dragon sat curled up in a cave, its yellow eyes looking out at the harvest moon. Crimson red scales covered its body, and its black wings were pressed against its back. Its long tail lay at its side, twitching occasionally. A black, fabric collar was wrapped around the base of its long neck. Short, black horns sat on the top of its head. It was waiting for something.
The dragon turned his head and looked at a goblin, who was just entering the cave. "Do you bring news?" its deep voice hissed, asking the goblin.
The goblin bowed before its master and spoke. "Yes, Master, we have discovered the location of the Syn jewel." It sounded excited with its find.
"Well? Where is it?" the dragon demanded.
"Toxic Mountain, Master. But it will take at least a month to reach the mountain. It lies within its core," the goblin informed. "Are you sure you want to bring the Death Syn about once again?"
The dragon seemed angered by this, and his tail lashed out. It wrapped around the goblin's neck and it lifted it off the ground, choking the goblin. "Why do you ask such a foolish question?! Of course I want to bring it back!" the dragon's voice boomed.
"Please, spare me Master Zor!" the goblin cried, choking out blood as the tail's grip tightened. "Please! I won't ask such questions again!"
The dragon Zor paused, then shook his head. "No, I'd rather actually have a dinner tonight," he said.
Zor's tail completely closed around the goblin's neck, its head popping off. It rolled on the ground, and after its last cry, the goblin went limp. The dragon smiled sadistically and dropped its body. Several dragons suddenly flew to the opening of the cave, roaring, begging to have a meal.
"Not today!" Zor said, glaring at the dragons. "Go hunt your own food! This is my kill."
The dragons growled, but obeyed, and flew away to hunt in the forest.
Though, Zor seemed disturbed by something. Something at the back of his mind told him that someone knew of his plan. He shook his head as his claws gripped the goblin's carcass.
'There isn't anything to fear. Only that my foolish brothers might interfere... well, maybe not, my army will topple them with ease. If they value their lives they will keep out of this,' the dragon thought to himself as he began to feast on the goblin's flesh.
