For you
are my unborn child, one of which I'll never hold.
The heavens are
your crib now, stars of gold your blankets.
I never heard you
giggle, though your smile is in everything I see.
You are in
everything around myself, from birds to that little bee.
I never
saw you fingers, though small I'm sure they'll stay,
Your little
infant body curled up in the milky way.
I sing for you a lullaby;
I hope that you somehow hear,
I always wanted you my little child,
though fate had something else to say.
Your father never knew you,
no idea you rested in me.
For when the heavens took you, I was a
young girl of sixteen.
God knows he would have loved you, loved
you more then he loved me.
For you were a part of him; a beautiful
mistake no one could have seen.
So I pray to you my child, and
tell you some day we shall meet,
But until that day does come, you
shall be hidden within me.
Locked up in mommy's heart, her one
little teenage secret.
For you were something I will always love,
my innocent unborn angel.
