little segment of nowhere
false reality
(for you) nothing but
truth for me-
'cause I can do that here

floating, cut loose in
a colorless sea constantly
recreated in our image
(what else?) swirling
mirror to otherwhere
'cause I can do that here

I got all the time in
all the worlds, especially
this one-leaning back
on star-bright maybes
of cast-off dreams
(bedrock) backbone,
'cause I can do that here

let me sleep, drift
off on that clean
nothing of sea, polished
shadow-sharp in a noontime
full moon, green today
white bores me now

('cause, and
you know it)
I can do that here

and maybe after I wake up I'll go back
and then again, maybe
not
