My one and only love whom I carass with gentle fingertips
Fearing that the soothing bright sky that holds a warm sun would vanish.
The velvet ebony night that holds no sparkling stars nor glassy moon would take over once I touch thee.
Cold winds wrap around our still bodies.
Seeping into my very soul and chilling it until it wants to die.

Soft skin...brush my fingertips as I raise my face to gaze upon thee, love.
One ray the more, one shadow the less dance upon thy face.
Thy sweet smile with a touch of sorrow grace my presence.
Aspects of light and dark shine within thy eyes, o'er thy furrowed brow lies a secret yet to be found

Gentle lips press against my own, asking for permission.
Tasting of sleepy midnights, drenched in the shimmering rain, of ripe sweet strawberries.
O'er and o'er.
Relishing this moment caught forever in time.

Yet...

Love and passion glow brightly within thy eyes.
Longing and sadness swim in thy eyes' depths
Yet not meant for me...

Meant for another maiden, fairer than I.
With raven hair and endless black pools that are her eyes.
Who has captured thee within her grasp.
Has claimed thy's heart and wounded it so.
Leaving thee broken and battered like a pretty bird.

Thee fades into the night, leaving me alone in this darkness.
Leaving me lingering in your faint presence.
Leaves brush my face gently as I long for thee.

Heart and soul cry out to thee, yet it falls on deaf ears.
For these cries are brimming with adoration...thee cannot hear them wail.
Thee does not care for thy heart belongs to another.
