Fading back to the darkness of my world, I find I can't tell a soul
One oath not yet taken, but I find it hard to resist
I'm not ready to give up, but I find no way to continue
How is it this is so hard

As I stand alone, I fade to black
No one knows, nor is anyone smart enough to figure it out; codes will never be broken
Within my darkest hours, I wish I could see the light and the greater good, but they turned on me long ago
I now stand alone as I will forever

Doomed to be alone, never able to let it out
The past will never fade, and I can't change it
Hatred runs so rampant through my veins
When will I ever be free

As I stand alone, I fade to black
No one knows, nor is anyone smart enough to figure it out; codes will never be broken
Within my darkest hours, I wish I could see the light and the greater good, but they turned on me long ago
I now stand alone as I will forever

As demons possess, I'm not ready to give it up yet
My desires are to fade to black, but I know I will be cast out
Dark I am not; gray would be the one loathing the light
As beliefs change, I find everything I have ever believed has faded

As I stand alone, I fade to black
No one knows, nor is anyone smart enough to figure it out; codes will never be broken
Within my darkest hours, I wish I could see the light and the greater good, but they turned on me long ago
I now stand alone as I will forever
