Things people say are hurtful
But they won't let me forget my pride
Wish I could fly away from here
To a place you've never heard of
Everything I've ever known are lies
Pretending to be someone else around you
I forget to be real when I'm not alone
All those times when I needed a hero
My own knight in shining armor
I thought maybe someone would rescue me
But they're caught up in all their lies
