TEST STORY

Once upon a time, there was a young maiden, born to poverty by the ill fortunes of her parents. The girl cooked and cleaned, but everyday she dearly dreamed of a home with servants of her own and a handsome young prince.

Over time the girl grew. Her unwise parents hoped to find a quick way out of their poverty and searched for help from a local gang. The leader agreed to help them at a price. The parents agreed without any intentions of paying the group.

The family became prosperous and rich but in time, the leader wanted what he deserved. The family refused to pay him a single gold piece so in place of payment, he took their daughter.

The girl was very frightened and begged to be let go, offering to bring them the gold herself but the leader did not budge. He kept her in a cage in a chamber, high above the Earth in a tower. The young girl stayed up there, watching her dreams and hopes flutter by like birds.

The family with their ill-gotten riches had made connections and went to the Lord for help. The noblemen, fearful of the gang, refused. The family offered him their daughter if he could save, having no intention of giving her up.

The lord set out and in doing so, a rumor began to spread of a beautiful princess being help prisoner in a castle, who would marry whom ever could rescue her and free her from her dungeon. Men all over set out, hoping for a princess and if not her, at least a piece of the families wealth.

The girl became saddened but she felt if she didn't break herself out, no one would. She captured the keys from a sleeping guard and waited nightfall to escape into the shadows. She climbed down the stairs of her tower after an alert guard's shift had began so no one would be climbing up to check on them. She escaped the castle with all but difficulty and made her way home on foot.

Her parents were relived to have their daughter back. They wished for her to marry a rich knight to protect her but the young girl refused. She took a large portion of her families money and brought it to the leader of the gang. The leader was honored that she had come to him bearing riches after having escaped from his clutches, a feat before then- thought to be impossible. The girl confessed she had fallen deeply in love with one of the leaders son and she wished to stay there and become a member of the gang. They gladly took her in and treated her as one of them, as if there had been no quarrel between them.

And so the girl lived happily ever after.

Now come on, you didn't really expect her to need to be saved by a man!
