Falling

I plummet, I fall, I’m close to the ground.

Falling, falling, without a sound.

I see my life rush past me fast,

Falling, falling, how long will this last?

I think of you, my love, my life,

Falling, falling, the end of strife.

I smile as I see your face,

Falling, falling, what is this place?

I realize that I’m falling because of you,

Falling, falling, if only I knew.

I remember it was you who pushed me,

Falling, falling, I cannot see.

I saw you coming, a smile on your lips,

Falling, falling, the wind painfully whips.

I felt you push me, your betrayal,

Falling, falling, how did I fail?

I look up, I see your face,

Falling, falling, out of grace.

You smile at me, your last good-bye,

Falling, falling, I now know why.

You had a plot from the very start,

Falling, falling a plot to break my heart.

The ground is close, I’m almost there,

Falling, falling, it’s only fair.

It was my fault, I was fooled by your game,

Falling, falling, I wish you never came.

Before I crash, I must say,

Falling, falling, it’s the only way.

With your love, I couldn’t ask for more.

Falling, falling…I’ve hit the floor.
