Frightening
By: Jason Dukes
Loneliness
Silence
Confusion
Emotions I utterly hate, yet I can't seem to escape them
Friendships made, and friendships lost
Scars continuously appear on my humble heart
Loneliness seems to be my key fear
A life of purgatory could, and would be my hell
Stillness, quiet, frightening
Not a word spoken
Not a sound made
Uneasiness beckons me
A night of silence,
More then enough to send chills
Only my empty thoughts swirl in my head
Silence for me is unbearable
Lost in my mind
Not knowing what I should do
Heart wanting to go one way
My mind, another
Mind swirling and wandering
Through never ending halls
Insanity sets in
An eternal fight
And my sanity losing
These things are what frighten me the most.
And yet I seem to collide into them everyday
I live in fear,
For everyday is a nightmare
