What will happen
What will be
I wonder what
You think of me

For ages dark I wandered lost
I struggled with the pain
Pain of being quite ignored
In pain like dragon slain

I didn't think you saw me
I thought I'd been forgotten
Perhaps you'd left me to my fate
I'd asked for what I'd gotten

But in a flash was hope restored
The pain from the other was gone
A push from God, a look from you
And a new day came to dawn

Bass, curls
Latin Phrases
Fridays, Crayons
Unknown praises

I struggle for the subtlety
With which I brush my work
I close my eyes to better think
‘Tis a style I can't shirk

Every smile warms my heart
Each memory floods my mind
I think of when you look at me
My heart starts to unwind

I listen to the music
My ear picks out the bass
Thrown back to a memory
When did I first see your face?

Was it you that day?
Was that your band?
And that the song?
Did you see me dance?
Do you remember?
(I almost hope you don't)

Dismiss the thought
I go back forward
Past the present, wondering
“When I'll see you next”
