My feet illuminated by the light.

I won't come up; no I won't,

I don't belong on this earth

I feel the water up against my body like my own private glove

I can feel my throat expanding for air

The random things I notice on the bottom of the pool.

I see my shoes that slipped off when I jumped in.

I see my hair floating weightlessly around my face like limp fingers

I let all of my air out and I sink to the bottom. No pain.
